BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, April 24th, 2007 by Alan Cohen in DARE TO BE YOURSELF

“If you want to get what you want, you have to tell the truth about what you want. We reach a certain point on our path where we cannot compromise, minimize or deny our heart’s desire. It is not humble to ask for less than you believe you deserve; it is arrogance. False humility is a ploy of the ego; when we act smaller than God created use to be, we deny the grandeur with which we are imbued. True humility is to become an open vessel into which the riches of the universe may be poured, and then overflowed to a waiting world.

The riches to which I refer are not just the material ones; the forms of this world at best remind us of our spiritual wealth. The real riches of life are love, joy, exuberance, delight, vision, and a life with heart. If you are not receiving all of these, as well as the material things you desire, you must stretch to tell a bigger truth about what you really want. Then turn your request over to the universe. If your request is right for you, you shall have it. If it is not right for you, believe me, you don’t want it.”
