BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 by Stuart Wilde in AFFIRMATIONS

"The world around you is out of balance, and it’s "Tick-tock" will tend to pull you down. As you learn to detach, things will cease to affect you. You will also find it helpful to reduce the amount of absolute contact you have with the world. Avoid crowds. Keep your special view of the world unto yourself. Your destiny is separate because you are one of those rare people who has the mastery of his or her life.

I feel it is important to be informed about what is going on in the world, but be careful not to be pulled in emotionally. Stay away from world "causes"; they are ego traps. If you want to love the world, save it and feed it, that’s great. But first, love and feed yourself. Then, love, feed, and support those close to you. If you have spare time, you can march with your banner. But do not crusade in lieu of becoming powerful. You can help others when they ask for it, but not before."
