BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 by Paul Ferrini in THE ECSTATIC MOMENT

"If you are not joyfully expressing yourself in this moment, when do you propose to do it? Tomorrow? Next week?

Perhaps you feel you have to go back to school and get another degree to give yourself permission to be joyful right now. Or maybe there is some other condition you place on the expression of your joy. That, of course, is your choice. But there are no prerequisites to the expression of your joy in this moment. Whatever requisites you see are the ones you made up.

For the ego, there are hundreds if not thousands of hoops to jump through before we have its permission to be joyful or worthy of love. But every one of these hoops is self-created and superfluous. We can throw them all away and be joyful and worthy of love right now."

Paul Ferrini, in "The Ecstatic Moment"
