PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA
"This journey inward is much more frightening than surrounding yourself with a herd; for this journey is one that is taken alone, “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Whereas religion seems to unify people under a common, man-made belief system, spiritualism empowers individual unmasking. Fear and the subsequent desire for security will keep you with other like-minded people – your own herd, so to speak. The problem with following the herd is that they must stick to the wide path, and “…wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat…” When following the herd, you must be careful not to “step in something;” and you must be ever vigilant for those who make their way in life by preying on herds."
