PONDER on THIS Special Message for Sunday, March 16th, 2008 by John St. Augustine in LIVING AN UNCOMMON LIFE

"Holding on to pain will cost you big time. To err is human...to forgive is absolutely necessary if you want to live an uncommon life. There is a big payoff in being 'the victim'. People pay attention to you, but for all the wrong reasons. There is also a big payoff in being 'the victor'. Then people not only  pay attention to you, but when you forgive what was and move on to what you can be, they gain perspective on their own journey from observing you taking yours...Forgiveness, like everything else, begins and ends with you.

Forgiving yourself takes practice. It has to become a habit. And with all the bad habits humans have garnered over the centuries, it's a good one you should consider developing to its full potential. Forgiving others in no way condones, validates, or excuses their actions or behaviors, but it does reverse the flow of power from them back to you, where it belongs and you can do the most good. Let POW in your life stand for: power over weakness
not not prisoner of woe."
