PONDER on THIS for Friday, May 30th, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

"If we are careless and dwell on our problems, then these are the kinds of things we fill our lives with. Our negative thoughts are receiving the attention that our prayers deserve, and are manifesting in our lives. If you don’t believe this, then you probably believe that the negative things in your life are being thrown your way by a malevolent God out to destroy you – or at least torture and torment you with a life of frustration. While it is true that you may have been taught these kinds of things about God, you alone have the power to see the God that is in your own life. No individual outside of you can describe your God to you. If you see the world as a dangerous place, then you probably see God as the biggest danger of all. Could anything else be logical?

This is the result of programming, or a deteriorating set of thought patterns, and needs to be addressed if you truly wish to live a life of fulfillment. God is not out to get anyone; and if you think you are a victim of life, then you are indeed a victim – but only of your own thought processes and of those who programmed you to think this way. Prayer works. Thoughts are things."
