BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 16th, 2008 by Neale Donald Walsch in ABUNDANCE AND RIGHT LIVELIHOOD

“Some people ARE terrified to leave their corporate jobs. They’re trapped in a prison of their own device, because they have this idea that if they leave that corporate setting, or that position that they’ve worked so hard to attain, then all will be lost. And yet all is lost now, because if it wasn’t lost, they wouldn’t want to leave. So the key question is not, what will you lose should you remove yourself from that position, but what will you gain? And what even causes you to stop and think about leaving? That’s the key question.

And so what I would say to people who are in that place of dilemma, is what I’ve often said to people: You know, you need to make a life rather than a living. You might be much happier making one-third of your income, but coming from a place of beingness that brings joy to your soul.”
