PONDER on THIS for Monday, January 5th, 2009 by Doris Roper in WAKE UP Your Life!
"This is what I have learned about the people around us: Whenever somebody triggers something in you, pushes a button, causes an unpleasant sensation for you, do not look at that person. Look at yourself. Ask yourself, “What is it in me that is making me react this way?”
Your reaction is always about something in you. Think about it — when you are feeling good about yourself, confident, centered, other people cannot affect you. You can tolerate them because you look at them with love and as fellow humans. If they push your buttons, there is something in you that is off-kilter, unexamined, or unresolved."

What great advice. It's so easy to blame "losing it" on someone else. I need to remember that I can't control others' behavior, only my own.
