“Will Murtha: I’ve given you a great example of when I did stand up for my truth as a child, but it wasn’t always that clear-cut. There were plenty of other times when I didn’t express my truth. I was afraid of what others may say, so I kept my mouth shut and said nothing. Looking back, I now wish that I would have had more courage to speak up for myself. I wish I’d found the confidence to share some of my extraordinary experiences with others. Who knows, some of my friends may have had very similar life experiences. I feel as if I have let myself down badly. I shouldn’t have pushed what happened to me to the back of the file. It was wrong to run away from my experiences and deny them. But I did. And now I’m deeply ashamed of my actions.
Voice of Higher Presence: Please, do not give yourself a hard time. And certainly don’t pour shame all over your actions. You did what you did. You are who you are. Nobody, I repeat, nobody is perfect. And even if a person was, what would be his or her calling in life? What would be the purpose to his or her life if there were no hurdles to overcome? The most profound and educating growth comes at those times when we face adversity. Please take this divine truth to your heart. Embrace it and hold it close to you. We are all here in physical form to remember our own magnificence.
We are here, on planet earth, to grow and evolve as human beings. Real growth of the soul can only happen when you are challenged with obstacles to overcome. Growth does not blossom from the safe and mundane, nor does it flower from the seeds of fear. Remember, all growth begins on the edge of your comfort zone. That is where your potential opens up. That is where the spring of your life begins.”
