PONDER on THIS for Friday, September 3rd, 2010 by Stuart Wilde in SIXTH SENSE

“More often than not, we limit our creative potential because we feel we have to win other people’s approval. We feel the need to justify ourselves, to fit in. We feel the need to be accepted. Yes, you might have to adjust to the vagaries of the marketplace, but you don’t want to disempower yourself by being too shy or too timid, or letting others limit your dream. You are what you are. Look ’em in the eye and tell ’em, “This is who I am.” Then be flexible, especially when there’s money floating about!

I think the biggest culprits in the process of holding you back are, more often than not, family members. Because of their closeness to you, they can impact how you feel and can have a major influence on you. Often family members have an agenda of their own. They want to keep you where you are, or they don’t want you showing them up as being inadequate. Or they don’t want you heading out and leaving them back at the ranch looking up the back end of a thousand sheep! But in the end, your life is precious, and you can’t necessarily keep everyone happy. You have to do your own thing.”
