"PRACTICING MINDFULNESS DOES NOT MEAN that we won't still find ourselves overcome with doubt. There will be periods when purpose is hard to find, when the journey seems like a chore, and when you're not sure if your values and choices are making a difference. The truth is, we just don't know. Now that we have arrived at this place, where is it? You might think of this as the intersection where don't know, mystery, emptiness, and doubting mind meet. It's a good sign that you have finally arrived here in present time.
How Wonderful! But wait a moment, you may be thinking. You say I'm in this place and it's wonderful, but I feel lost. Being lost is greatly underrated It can mean that you are in a place of unknowing where the rational mind cannot go. In the way that we need darkness to see the stars, we similarly need unknowing to become a beginner again and engage with the mystery and wonder of it all."
