PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 by Terry Cole-Whittaker in LIVE YOUR BLISS

"If you knew that God would appear to you and give you anything you asked for at the moment of your passing, what would you ask for? Consider the following fable: An old woman carrying a heavy load dropped it by the side of the road. Sitting down, she felt overwhelmed by despair and fatigue, so she prayed to God to help her.

God appeared and asked her to tell him what she wanted him to do. “Lift the load back up on my head so that I may go home.” The Lord did as she asked and then left. The old woman, who could have asked for anything, wasted her request, her vote, on something so ordinary and mundane that anyone could have done it.

Be prepared to ask God for what you really want when you get the opportunity. You can do this now, for the presence of God is with you now and always. Thinking and asking big is a sign of greatness."
