PONDER on THIS for Sunday, May 15th, 2011 from CHANNELEDREADINGS.COM
"Beliefs control your feelings and emotions. If you believe that you are "coming down" with something, you start to act that way. Not all your thoughts however are beliefs. Some are just thoughts. But, all beliefs contain many thoughts. These beliefs can then become self-fulfilling prophecies. You have heard the saying, "If you believe it's so, then it is." and "if you believe you can or can't do something, you are right."
A thought can just show up and you can observe it with curiosity or interest. These thoughts are just representations of things. It is only when you confirm and validate these thoughts that they turn into beliefs. Beliefs get in the way of your logical thinking - your decision making process. You make decisions that you believe are the correct ones. This is why people keep making the same bad decisions over and over again. They believe they are making the right decision at the time they make it. A belief that enters your mind creates a physical reaction.
That is why self-limiting beliefs are so dangerous. They influence your thinking and decision making. This process becomes detrimental to your personal development and improvement. Understanding how your beliefs influence your decisions is the first step toward making better decisions."
