PONDER on THIS for Thursday, August 4th, 2011 by Paul Ferrini in THE SILENCE OF THE HEART

“To learn to trust you must experiment being neutral about what happens in your life. You don’t have to see things in a positive light. Just stop seeing them in a negative light. Stop imposing your expectations on the events and circumstances of your life. Just let life unfold and see what happens.

God doesn’t ask you to convert yourself. She doesn’t ask you to chop off your intellect and believe on faith. She makes a far more simple request. Just stop judging, stop finding fault, stop imposing your expectations, your will, your interpretation, your pictures of reality, and see what happens.

She says a very simple thing to you. She says: “You think you know what’s going on, but you are not happy. Your knowledge, your judgments, your interpretations are not bringing you peace or fulfillment. So set them aside for a few moments. Give life a chance. Experience it free of the limitation you place upon it.”
