PONDER on THIS for Thursday, May 15th, 2014 by Annemarie Greenwood and Marissa Campbell in LIFE: LIVING IN FULFILLMENT EVERY DAY

“We’ve all heard the expression ‘you are not the center of the universe.’ Well, I am here to tell you that indeed you are! In fact, taking care of yourself and your needs has to come first! Perhaps you’ve heard the saying, ‘If mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy.’ That expression applies equally to papa as well!…You see, as we move toward finding happiness, we naturally become more self-centered…There can be lots of reasons why we put ourselves last. It may be our limiting beliefs; our negative self-talk rearing its untimely nasty head; not wanting to let others down; or our dislike of conflict, which we avoid at all costs. There are multitude of reasons, but the point is, rather than being true to what our gut is telling us, we take that nagging feeling of discomfort and tuck it way quietly.”
