PONDER on THIS for Thursday, December 8th, 2016 by Sara Chetkin in THE HEALING CURVE

“Consider the idea that everyone around you is a mirror. They reveal to you your own inner dialogue. As you interact with them, observe your reactions. Look for qualities that push a button or make you uncomfortable. These are the keys to unlocking your own secrets. For example, when you have a strong reaction to an individual’s behavior, it is certain that this behavior reminds you of your own judgments about yourself. It is impossible to explain this. You must experience it, and to experience it you must have the courage and honesty to look at yourself without blinders.

You cannot soar in this life if you do not uncover your own misgivings, your own faulty perceptions about yourself. These perceptions control your perceptions of your world. It can be no other way. Who you are is what you see. Think about it: you can only truly know something through experience. So, the characteristics you recognize in others, you have already experienced in yourself.”
