PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 by Eliza Mada Dalian in IN SEARCH OF THE MIRACULOUS

“Your ego-mind is like the bark of a tree. For a tree to survive and mature it needs the bark to protect it from the outside elements. When the tree has matured and begins to die, its bark starts to peel off. Don’t struggle with the bark and try and pull it off forcibly. As long as the tree is growing, the bark needs to stay attached to the tree. Accept your bark. When it is no longer needed, it will fall off on its own.

Don’t fight the mind with the mind. Look at how your ego stays alive by you needing to be in control. To break your mind’s pattern of needing to stay in control, be a Zorba once in a while. Go ‘”crazy” and risk losing your head by behaving completely differently from the way you would normally behave. This will help you break through your fears that keep you in need of control. To come out of the mind’s struggle and act with maturity and responsibility you must learn to act with awareness.”
