PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 by Paul Ferrini in THE SILENCE OF THE HEART

“Do not expect your relationship with God to look like anyone else’s or you will sabotage the relationship. God’s presence in your life is totally unique. Your conversation with Her may be verbal or nonverbal, a canvas of colorful shapes or imageless. Don’t try to measure your spirituality by comparing what happens for you with what happens for others. Don’t accept an intermediary between you and God. Reject all gurus and teachers. Don’t accept any concepts of God that come from others. Reject magical thinking. Let go of potions and formulas. Forget what you think you know. Forget what you have been taught. Come to God empty and surrendered. Leave your petitions and agendas behind. Be with Her without expectations. Just be and let Her find you as you are, in your simple essence.”
