BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, March 27th, 2020 by Jeff Maziarek in SPIRITUALITY SIMPLIFIED

“As this passage from Conversations with God, Book 1 relates, it is especially important that we not use the words “I AM” in front of anything that we don’t want to experience:

“I AM is the strongest creative statement in the Universe. Whatever you think, whatever you say, after the words “I AM” sets into motion those experiences, calls them forth, brings them to you. There is no other way the Universe knows how to work. There is no other route it knows to take. The Universe responds to “I AM” as would a genie in a bottle”

This is a very powerful admonition, for when you stop to reflect on it for a moment, you realize that in normal day-to-day speech it is quite common for all of us to use “I AM” in some very negative ways. For example, how many times have you heard someone say, “I am depressed, or I am angry, or I am just a klutz,” or something similar?

If you are a typical person, it is likely that you’ve heard or said these types of statements perhaps hundreds of times. In my own case, I commonly used such declarations throughout much of my life until I read Conversations with God, Book 1 and came across that passage. Since that discovery, I have become far more judicious about how I use the “I AM” statement in my daily self-talk, and in my conversations with others as well.”
