"You are not simply a ship adrift in this world. You emerged into this existence through and with the power of creation. If you went to a fast-food drive-in and ordered a hamburger and soft-drink, you may not have cooked the food or poured the drink, but you are the creator of that moment, nonetheless. It was your desire and thoughts which set in motion the events that would ultimately see your desire fulfilled.

It is understandable that so many people simply write this off, along with so many miracles of manifestation, because they don’t understand and haven’t been shown the significance of such acts. The fact that you can become aware of a desire and then experience the fulfillment of that desire through simply thinking about it and doing what comes naturally, is an important piece of information in unlocking the power of prayer.

If you begin to look closely at such events in your life, as well as in the lives of those around you, you will see a pattern emerge. You will see that all of these things, no matter how simple or insignificant any of these things may seem, happen through the same process, follow the same pattern, and utilize the same principle and mechanism. Manifestation is manifestation; whether you want a cheeseburger, vibrant health, or a new job, this is your gift. Why would you not use such a thing to your benefit, or to improve or enhance your experience here?"

"It is said that "In God, all things are possible." So, when you base your existence on a book that says, "…all things are possible," and "Judge not…," it pretty much shuts down any petty human differences; anything can happen, everything is possible, and you are only human and have no knowledge, experience, or authority with which to judge the works of God (other humans, for instance). That part is pretty simple; I just can’t seem to find the part about boycotting people and businesses because they refuse to judge others. Are we saying that we should follow the Bible’s teachings, except for where the Bible got it wrong and there is clearly a need for someone to step in and render some judgment? Or, have we simply decided to use the "love thy neighbor" policy when we are in a good mood and the "hellfire and brimstone" approach when we have had a bad day, or week – or life, or marriage, etc."

"Self-forgiveness is not always a simple task, especially in the case of acts that caused significant pain or distress to other people. Nevertheless, if you aren’t willing to release all of the resentment you feel toward yourself, how can you expect to be forgiven by whomever it is that you harmed? Moreover, without self-forgiveness, you simply cannot move forward in your spiritual growth, nor can you hope to succeed in your personal healing efforts. To assist you in this process of forgiving yourself, I highly recommend the use of the following prayer, which I came across a few years ago in a book called The Angels Within Us by John Randolph Price. It is one that has always been of great value to me in my own efforts to release myself from past mistakes:

‘Spirit of the living God within, my precious holy Self, I totally and completely forgive myself for every thought, feeling, word, deed of the past. I release everything to you, all of my self-condemnation, all of my guilt, and all of my fear, and I close the door on all that was yesterday. As I forgive myself I know that I am forgiving all, for I am everyone, and everyone is me, and through the cleansing action of forgiveness we are all wonderfully free.’

By saying this prayer each day with sincerity, I assure you that it will become increasingly easy for you to accept and approve of yourself, regardless of your past errors. So give it a try, my friend; what have you got to lose but some negative energy that can only harm you as you move forward in your life?”

"Skepticism is so prevalent in our society that few prayers, it seems, have much chance of being answered. In fact, the Bible makes reference to God not having patience with those who challenge Him. It would appear as if people have always been skeptical of the nature of prayer. But God isn’t some petty deity just waiting for us to violate protocol so He can punish us. That is an aspect of our own personality that we assign to God.

The simple fact is that by challenging God to prove His existence by showing you some arbitrary miracle, you have created a double-bind of sorts, and most likely have neutralized your prayer action. That is, of course, if you made one in the first place. Most people that pose such challenges to their creator never actually ask for anything. A vague challenge to simply, “Show me a miracle…” has already been met. Ask God to show you a miracle and then simply open your eyes; miracles abound everywhere you look. It’s as if God is laughing at you, returning the challenge by asking you to show Him a place where there are no miracles. The fact is, no human is sophisticated enough to come up with a request which cannot be met by God. Our lack of sophistication may limit our ability to understand the answer when we see it, but rest assured; in God, all things are possible."

"It's been my experience that people who love being alive differ from those who think that somehow life is a burden because of one main ingredient - purpose. People who know why they are here like being here. People who have no idea what the heck is going on feel like they are in prison. You get-out-of-jail free card is to stop running on the treadmill and get quiet. Most of humanity's problems come from our unwillingness to sit alone in a room for more than five minutes and listen for the 'still, small voice.' For me it took walking to Chicago and back to Michigan to 'get it.' For you, it might just be sitting in your car in the parking lot - without the radio blasting - and simply being quiet.

And consider that you might already be living your purpose and not even know it. We are always presented with choices in life. If we choose with love and respect for ourselves and those around us, the sun shines a bit brighter. If we choose from a place of lack, fear, or pain, it gets pretty dark. The word seems to be a place in need of a few more floodlights, and if you are not too busy, you might consider shining your inner light just a little brighter. You never know how far it will go or who will need it. On behalf of the rest of humanity, we would really appreciate it."
