You emerged into this existence through and with the power of creation. If you went to a fast-food drive-in and ordered a hamburger and soft-drink, you may not have cooked the food or poured the drink, but you are the creator of that moment, nonetheless. It was your desire and thoughts which set in motion the events that would ultimately see your desire fulfilled.

It is understandable that so many people simply write this off, along with so many miracles of manifestation, because they don’t understand and haven’t been shown the significance of such acts. The fact that you can become aware of a desire and then experience the fulfillment of that desire through simply thinking about it and doing what comes naturally, is an important piece of information in unlocking the power of prayer.

If you begin to look closely at such events in your life, as well as in the lives of those around you, you will see a pattern emerge. You will see that all of these things, no matter how simple or insignificant any of these things may seem, happen through the same process, follow the same pattern, and utilize the same principle and mechanism. Manifestation is manifestation; whether you want a cheeseburger, vibrant health, or a new job, this is your gift. Why would you not use such a thing to your benefit, or to improve or enhance your experience here?"

Pete Koerner, in "The Belief Formula"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon or The Belief Formula Website or Pete Koerner's Blog.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

Why? Because the words I AM are your actual identity. They are your spiritual name, the identity of your spiritual self. Your I AM is the name of the God nature in you and of all the divine potential in you.

If you want to feel the power of the words I AM, substitute the words ‘It is my essence to be….’ or ‘It is my nature to be ….’ Thus a seemingly innocuous comment, ‘I am so worried,’’ translates into ‘It is my very nature to be worried.’ A comment said in frustration, ‘I am completely devastated,’ becomes ‘It is my essence to be devastated.’

Restated that way, those statements feel so uncomfortable to you because they more clearly point out that you are claiming something you don’t really want. You are identifying yourself with something far, far removed from your essence. Yet that’s exactly what happens when you used the words I AM. You put a claim into the great Creative Intelligence of the universe to transform yourself into whatever it is with which you are identifying.”

Richard & Mary-Alice Jafolla, in “The Quest”

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

Yes, we come into this world with certain genetic traits pushing us in one direction or another, and yes, our dispositions may display certain tendencies (i.e., a quick temper or a ready laugh). However, I believe that our personalities are meant to be developed over time, and that we have a great deal of control over that development. We have the ability to nurture elements of our personality. We can teach ourselves to adapt to a range of situations and relationships. We can change if we choose to. We can envision the person we want to be and we can become that person."

Carolyn J. You grant yourself permission to live a different, happier, richer life than your tribe of origin, and by example lead your tribe forward with you. When you do, magic happens. Your family and society become richer, more harmonious, and more peaceful because of you.

You change whom and what you attract into your life only when you change your subconscious beliefs...Perhaps you have wondered why there are successful people from all economic and emotional conditions who have overcome adversity and the odds to succeed. They have succeeded because they discovered another way to think and feel.

Those who succeed accept ideas and thoughts from the outside world as a choice to believe or not without judgment. So, when you base your existence on a book that says, "…all things are possible," and "Judge not…," it pretty much shuts down any petty human differences; anything can happen, everything is possible, and you are only human and have no knowledge, experience, or authority with which to judge the works of God (other humans, for instance). That part is pretty simple; I just can’t seem to find the part about boycotting people and businesses because they refuse to judge others. Are we saying that we should follow the Bible’s teachings, except for where the Bible got it wrong and there is clearly a need for someone to step in and render some judgment? Or, have we simply decided to use the "love thy neighbor" policy when we are in a good mood and the "hellfire and brimstone" approach when we have had a bad day, or week – or life, or marriage, etc."

Pete Koerner in "The Belief Formula"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon or The Belief Formula Website or Pete Koerner's Blog.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

When you hold someone responsible for what you experience, you lose power. Therefore, when you depend on another person for the experiences that you think are necessary to your well-being, you live continually in the fear that they will not deliver. The perception that someone else is responsible for what you experience underlies the idea that forgiveness is something that one person does for another. How can you forgive another person for the fact that YOU have CHOSEN to step out of your power?"

Gary Zukav, in "Seat of the Soul"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

Although this may seem obvious in regards to religious, political, economic and moral beliefs, I frequently see people fervently invest their emotional energy in dietary preferences (low fat versus low carb, vegetable versus meat-based) and health care approaches (allopathic versus naturopathic).

The commitment to truth requires you to continually review your beliefs about the world and your place in it, expanding your capacity to embrace multiple perspectives. We get caught and lost in fear so often in our life, but rarely have we examined and dealt with the demon of the fearful mind itself. Of course, as we work with the fearful mind, we will initially become afraid. We will encounter this demon over and over again. However, at some point, if we open our eyes and our heart to the fearful mind and gently name it, ‘fear, fear, fear,’ experiencing its energy as it moves through us, the whole sense of fear will shift, and later will simply come the recognition, ‘Oh, fear, here you are again. How interesting."

Jack Kornfield, in “A Path With Heart”

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

Nevertheless, if you aren’t willing to release all of the resentment you feel toward yourself, how can you expect to be forgiven by whomever it is that you harmed? Moreover, without self-forgiveness, you simply cannot move forward in your spiritual growth, nor can you hope to succeed in your personal healing efforts. To assist you in this process of forgiving yourself, I highly recommend the use of the following prayer, which I came across a few years ago in a book called The Angels Within Us by John Randolph Price. It is one that has always been of great value to me in my own efforts to release myself from past mistakes:

‘Spirit of the living God within, my precious holy Self, I totally and completely forgive myself for every thought, feeling, word, deed of the past. I release everything to you, all of my self-condemnation, all of my guilt, and all of my fear, and I close the door on all that was yesterday. As I forgive myself I know that I am forgiving all, for I am everyone, and everyone is me, and through the cleansing action of forgiveness we are all wonderfully free.’

By saying this prayer each day with sincerity, I assure you that it will become increasingly easy for you to accept and approve of yourself, regardless of your past errors. So give it a try, my friend; what have you got to lose but some negative energy that can only harm you as you move forward in your life?”

                      Jeff Maziarek, in "Spirituality Simplified"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon OR www.spiritsimple.com, Readerviews.com, and Insidescooplive.com.

In fact, the Bible makes reference to God not having patience with those who challenge Him. It would appear as if people have always been skeptical of the nature of prayer. But God isn’t some petty deity just waiting for us to violate protocol so He can punish us. That is an aspect of our own personality that we assign to God.

The simple fact is that by challenging God to prove His existence by showing you some arbitrary miracle, you have created a double-bind of sorts, and most likely have neutralized your prayer action. That is, of course, if you made one in the first place. Most people that pose such challenges to their creator never actually ask for anything. A vague challenge to simply, “Show me a miracle…” has already been met. Ask God to show you a miracle and then simply open your eyes; miracles abound everywhere you look. It’s as if God is laughing at you, returning the challenge by asking you to show Him a place where there are no miracles. The fact is, no human is sophisticated enough to come up with a request which cannot be met by God. Our lack of sophistication may limit our ability to understand the answer when we see it, but rest assured; in God, all things are possible."

Pete Koerner, in "The Belief Formula"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon or The Belief Formula Website.

COMPILER'S NOTE: On Pete Koerner's blog he is now offering a free download of "A Guide to Learning the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)" that is a wonderful tool for erasing limiting beliefs. Be it a spouse, children, co-workers, employees, clerks, service people, whoever, take some time to relate to them differently by seeing beyond their physical form to the fullness of God in them. This is a great exercise for shifting to a spiritual consciousness, because you will not be coming from the need to control, judge, or dominate. Instead you will will be attempting to empower those whom you may have previously viewed as subservient to you. Once you begin to see past the physical bodies of those around you, you will begin to relate to the very same invisible force that flows through you and them."

Dr. Wayne W. When you are dead you’re not able to do the work of the society. When you are fully alive, you are constantly saying, ‘No’ to many of the processes of society, the racism, the polluted environment, the nuclear threat, the arms race, drinking unsafe water and eating carcinogenic foods. Thus it is in the interests of our society to promote those things that take the edge off, keep us busy with our fixes, and keep us slightly numbed out and zombie-like. In this way our modern consumer society itself functions as an addict.”

Anne Wilson Schaef, in “When Society Becomes an Addict”

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

We don't usually stop to say a prayer before the meeting, or before the date, or before the relationship gets going. We think, 'Why should I say a prayer now? There's no problem!' But the sly and insidious ego is always on the alert for ways to separate the children of God, just as God is always on the alert for ways to reconnect our hearts. Prayer has a way of rendering the ego powerless, reminding the mind of our eternal innocence. And therein lies our salvation.

Relationships are where the ego seeks to do battle with the will of God. In reality there is no battle, for those whom God had joined together - cannot be put asunder. It is only our thinking that we are separate from others that dooms us to conflict and struggle and pain."

                          Marianne Williamson, in "Everyday Grace"

For more information about this book visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

There have been others along the way, but you came here alone, and will leave here alone. You are the only one who has walked your path and, as such, are uniquely qualified to live your life. No one else knows what a person who was born to your parents on your birthday, who lived your life and has your knowledge and experience, and is in your current situation, will do next. There is only one of each of these types of creatures; and each one will always do what that exact one of those would always do in that exact situation. From this dark seed grows every manner of judgment. Getting out of judgment is vital, and to plant that seed, you have to stop dividing others into categories of good and bad. Everyone lives in the same light. A simple formula may help here. When you are tempted to judge another person, no matter how obviously they deserve it, remind yourself that everyone is doing the best he/she can from his/her own level of consciousness."

Deepak Chopra, in “How To Know God”

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

People who know why they are here like being here. People who have no idea what the heck is going on feel like they are in prison. You get-out-of-jail free card is to stop running on the treadmill and get quiet. Most of humanity's problems come from our unwillingness to sit alone in a room for more than five minutes and listen for the 'still, small voice.' For me it took walking to Chicago and back to Michigan to 'get it.' For you, it might just be sitting in your car in the parking lot - without the radio blasting - and simply being quiet.

And consider that you might already be living your purpose and not even know it. We are always presented with choices in life. If we choose with love and respect for ourselves and those around us, the sun shines a bit brighter. If we choose from a place of lack, fear, or pain, it gets pretty dark. The word seems to be a place in need of a few more floodlights, and if you are not too busy, you might consider shining your inner light just a little brighter. You never know how far it will go or who will need it. On behalf of the rest of humanity, we would really appreciate it."

John St. Augustine, in "Living an Uncommon Life"

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon or the author's website.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

We are simply human, vulnerable and far from perfect. The wrong the people do us is difficult to deal with, especially when we are innocent and can find no explanation for another’s behavior. Whey should we forgive and forget? We forgive, for the price we pay for not forgiving is too great.

To bear grudges, to harbor hate, to seek revenge, are all self-defeating and lead us nowhere. They neither satisfy nor heal. They keep us from moving forward and starting again. They bury positive energies in negative actions which serve only to exhaust and deplete us. They keep us suspicious and hesitant to trust again. They destroy our creativity, and retard our growth."

Leo Buscaglia, in “Loving Each Other”

For more information regarding this book, visit Amazon.

A FREE service since its inception, "Ponder on This" benefits subscribers, authors, and publishers by including "links" to Amazon.com

We compare movies, sports events, news on the downturn of the economy, and terrorists on the same bias as the media, and we repeat these ideas as true.

As yourself if these beliefs are true: that life is hard, you have to struggle to make it, it is difficult to get what you want, others prevent you from accomplishing your dreams, the economy and world conditions are keeping you from your financial gain.

They are not. The outside influences of the world are simply thoughts that you agree to believe because you fear they might be true. If you are not secure enough in your own thinking and feeling to decide how you want your life to be lived, then you will live your life according to others' ideas of the best or worst life for you.
