PONDER on THIS for Friday, May 9th, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

"We can’t truly control any single aspect of God or creation, yet we continue to make our own attempts to control God by limiting God to a human’s descriptive terminology. In other words, we have decided amongst ourselves that it is our place, or within our power, to decide who or what God is. Once you have agreed that God is all things, the discussion is over and so are any arguments or judgments about who is right or wrong about the real God. This type of imagery is primitive and was handed down to us from people living in an age of ignorance and superstition.  If you assign God an identity, as such, you have created, for God, one singular thing that He is, while simultaneously creating an infinite list of things which He is not.
