“Imagine you are standing in line at a fast-food restaurant. When it is your moment at the counter, you have a choice to make. You can ask for what you want, or you can ask for what you do not want. Whatever you ask for, however, is what you get. Like it or not, it is your choice. Who can choose for you? Life is actually a bit more to the point, or a bit more attentive to your “order,” than the person at the fast food restaurant – not wasting anytime creating what you have asked for, and not holding back on the variety of manifestations it shows you.
In other words, people who spend their days stewing in the misery, anger, and depression that only perpetuates itself in the absence of some positive intervention, are people I imagine stepping up to the counter and saying, ‘I’ll have the rotten garbage, with a side order of despair. And make it quick, I haven’t got all day! Oh, and give me a large diet cola with that, too.” You get what you ask for; and in life, spending time thinking about something is indeed asking for it. That is the nature of thought and prayer. Be careful what you ask for, you will most likely get it!”
