BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 7th, 2016 by Stuart Wilde in INFINITE SELF

“Look at the world and be satisfied. See it as eternal, and understand that you don’t have to push against the way it is. If you don’t like things, walk away. Generally speaking, it’s too much effort to change things. You’ve probably tried it with your relatives. They are often the toughest to change. You’ve got to love them as they are. Unconditional love is complete acceptance. If I love you unconditionally, I accept you. If you love me unconditionally, you accept me.

That’s easy to do when you’re being nice to me and I’m being nice to you, but what if I’m treating you badly? What if you’re treating me badly? Then you have to become a big person, not be sucked into emotion when people treat you in this fashion. That is the test.

The point to remember is, you can never be free until you disengage. The way it is, is the way it is. Tell yourself that seven times an hour if need be.”
