Compiler’s Note: Perhaps my favorite “Ponder on This” message during the past 22 years is one by Fr. Anthony DeMello from his book “Awareness.” That book is actually the text version of an audio program called “Wake Up to Life” that Tony recorded in the mid-1980s.
In 1995, a friend of mine loaned her copy of that program to me with a strong suggestion that I first listen to 4.5 minutes of one of the later cassettes. The subject matter of that brief segment is “What it means to be a success.” While I have published that content in the past on Pondercentral.com as standard written message, it occurred to me the other day that I should share an audio version of the message with DeMello’s voice sharing it.
So, here’s a link to a page on my Spiritsimple.com website that loads a player for you to hear the audio clip. In all sincerity, just from listening to this short audio over 25 years ago my entire life philosophy (and future) was changed for the better.
