BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, July 31st, 2020 by Alan Cohen in WHY YOUR LIFE SUCKS…AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

“Fixing yourself is a task you will never complete because your quest is founded on a faulty premise. You cannot fix yourself because you are not broken. You can construct an entire world based on the belief there is something wrong with you and spend a lifetime trying to rectify it. If that scares you, it should. You might constantly question your motives, actions, and relationships, while the one thing you needed to question was the assumption that you are lacking.

The main thing wrong with you is the thought that there is something wrong with you. Your problem is that you think there is a problem. If you focus long enough on erroneous assumptions, they will confirm themselves. Then you will attract people who tell you what you have been telling yourself. Then your faults really seem real. But that does not make them real. It just proves that your mind is powerful enough to create a world and then live in it.”
