“It seems to be that the key to happiness lies in getting over yourself. The happiest times of my life have been when I was more involved in something I was doing for others rather than in something I was … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“Everything should be interpreted as love or as a call for love. When someone has not shown us their love, our power lies in knowing that they would have, had they known how. They are not wrong so much as … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“We’ve created a God in our own image: angry and judgmental because we are. God Himself is merciful and all-loving, but we have projected onto Him our fear. This separates us from His love, from His healing, and from each … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, March 31st, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“We don’t need to push life so much as we need to experience it more elegantly, to be motivated more by inspiration than by ambition. Sometimes we’re so intent on moving up the ladder that we make compromises we know … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“So often we try to hide who we are rather than to heal who we are. We’re afraid that if we show our true selves, something ugly will appear. Only when we realize Who lives within us do we see … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“The frustration of traffic is a good metaphor for the frustration of modern life. We want to get somewhere…But it’s going too slow, and all these other people are in our way! If we wish to remain affected by traffic, … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, July 2nd, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“We can lose a job and still know we have a career. We can lose money and still retain a consciousness of wealth. We can lose the things of this world, but the knowledge of our connection to God is … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, April 9th, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Being caught in anger, judgment, and blame is disempowering; it throws us out of our center; it puts us at the effect of the lovelessness of someone else. To be there for a while is one thing; to stay there … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“The time to show up fully for life is right now, whatever the circumstances. The decision to be the divine attracts the divine. Life is a swirling pool of infinite potential at every single moment, and we ourselves either activate … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, December 29th, 2014 by Marianne Williamson in ILLUMINATA
“Albert Einstein once described his creative moments as “muscular.” There’s a consciousness we’re capable of that integrates our various dimensions. It’s joyful to be there because it feels like we’ve broken through constrictions which normally hold us back. This kind … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE
“It’s best that we not place our hope in a worldly satisfaction because, at the most fundamental level, there isn’t any. Worldly satisfaction can bring temporary pleasure, which is certainly good. But nothing in the material world is deep enough … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, August 7th, 2014 by Marianne Williamson in ILLUMINATA
“Many times we don’t share the truth because we’re afraid it would upset the other person to see how we feel: “I’m feeling claustrophobic,” “I feel ignored,” etc. Negative emotions, however, have a place in intimacy. They need to be … Continue reading

“Someone once sent me a photograph that had been taken by a fisherman in Newfoundland. It was a picture of an iceberg, not only the part of it that protrudes above the water line, but also what’s underneath the water. … Continue reading

“Loyalty to friends is easy when nothing rotten is in the air. But when rumors are flying, or innuendos, or betrayals – that is when the quality of true friendship becomes the stuff of heroic response. To give a friend … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, September 16th, 2013 by Marianne Williamson in ILLUMINATA
“Secularized organized religions have become, in many cases, as calcified as other institutions that form the structure of our modern world. That’s why they are accepted here, and also why they are rejected. Our religious institutions have far too often … Continue reading
