BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, June 6th, 2016 Sanaya Roman in PERSONAL POWER THROUGH AWARENESS

“Coming from compassion means coming from truth. How often do you rehearse in your mind what you are going to say to someone because you are justifying yourself, coming from ego, talking about how great you are, or how right you are? Every time you find yourself mentally rehearsing a situation (as all of you do, over and over) ask, “Can I come from a deeper level of truth?” You can always find one way in which to be more loving, understanding and compassionate.

Finding your deepest truth means looking within. It means not blaming other people, not playing the victim and not spending time feeling sorry for yourself. When you look more deeply at any situation, you can always see that you set it up for your growth. In any situation you feel you were a victim you always had an inkling of what was going on, and ignored opportunities to change things.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, June 3rd, 2016 by Alan Cohen in WHY YOUR LIFE SUCKS AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

“If you do not value who and what you are, you will seek to borrow worth from the outer world. You will look for validation from people whom you believe know or have more than you. But since everything you need is inside you and no one can know more about your path and purpose than you do, any power you ascribe to external authorities must eventually explode in your face and leave you feeling worse than when you started. The question is not, “Have you given your power away?” The question is, “How can you get it back?”

Unsucking your life is an inside job. You do not need to import power, for you were born with it; you just need to plug the holes in your bucket through which it is leaking. The quest is about peeling away the lies and illusions you have been told – and went on to tell yourself – that have kept you living smaller than you deserve. When you do, you will be amazed to realize how much you have settled for. Then you will have little patience for halfhearted living and reclaim your right to live from choice rather than default.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 by Dr. Stephen Russell in BAREFOOT DOCTOR’S GUIDE TO THE TAO

“Money is merely a form of energy/chi. A measure of money equates to a measure of chi. There is nothing intrinsically wrong or right about money. It is merely an energy-measuring device, hence why it’s called currency, i.e., current, literally, that which runs/flows (like water)…Money is not the root of all evil. It cannot be; it’s only an idea we’ve all agreed to believe in. It has no intrinsic value of its own. It’s a myth. Money is merely a harmless measuring device we use to expedited energy exchange between individuals and groups, which otherwise would become too unwieldy to manage, owing to the high numbers of people interacting.

Greed is the root of all evil. Greed arises from the mistaken belief or fear that there exists a fundamental shortage of energy/chi, the limited supply of which is depleted every time you give it away. Hence, for you to gain, someone else has to lose. Whereas, in reality, the more energy/chi you use, the more you generate. In basic terms, the more money you have the more you’ll be circulating.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 by Wayne W. Dyer in THERE’S A SPIRITUAL SOLUTION TO EVERY PROBLEM

“It is extremely common for people to build their lives on the mistaken notion that without certain things or certain people, they cannot be happy. It’s almost as if they are programmed to be unhappy. So, their attitude is, without my things, without a particular person, without money, without friendship, I am destined to be gloomy. Thus, they become conditioned to believe that scarcity is an excuse for despair. We have all swallowed these beliefs to some extent, and consequently we have developed varying degrees of attachments. These attachments are the source of despair because we justify gloom on the basis of what or who is missing. In fact, we experience ecstasy when we attain an object; anxiety over losing it; and despair when it is lost!

In order to transcend this cycle of attachment we must remind ourselves of the difference between our ego and our higher self. Ego’s voice is always eager to dominate with thoughts like “I am what I have, what I do, and what others think of me.” If you can remain quiet long enough, God’s voice will penetrate with messages such as “None of these things will bring you happiness, they are only illusions, I am your only source of peace.” This is your highest self speaking, this is the spiritual solution to all problems related to attachments.”

“Think about many of the beliefs that you have today and how they have shifted over the years. If fact, many of the beliefs that you now hold were met with revulsion and disgust when you first experienced them.

Can you remember how many people were shocked to see men wearing long hair and earrings when this style of dress was first introduced? Many tried to get these young men banned from schools. They labeled them as sissies and weirdos. Today those same people sport shoulder-length hair themselves and watch football played by mastodons of masculinity with earrings and long hair protruding from their helmets.

Beliefs change. Many of the beliefs that you hold today will be rejected by you in the coming years.”

“All the power and fulfillment humans yearn for exist in the present moment. In the now is tremendous energy, more than the mind can imagine. Nothing could be closer, yet nothing slips away faster. That is the mystery and the paradox. To solve it, realize that you are this moment. All the power that is present here must be found within.

Everyone has some days full of energy, excitement, and optimism, and other days marked by fatigue, confusion, and pessimism. What makes the difference? Some people think the answer lies in bodily cycles, or the play of random forces, or fate, or luck. But the wizards say the answer lies in your ability to be present. When you are in the moment, you touch the source of life. Time itself flows from this moment and no other. Therefore, if you want to ride the crest of time, you need all the energy you can get, and that energy is found within the moment.”

“Take a look at your belief system and see if you are holding yourself back by not believing sufficiently in the universal good. Can you actually, realistically imagine yourself as a successful, satisfied, prosperous, fulfilled person? Can you really open your eyes to the goodness and beauty and abundance that are all around you? Can you imagine this world transformed into a happy, prosperous and enlightened environment in which everyone can flourish?

Unless you can create a context that the world is a good place to be that can potentially work for everyone, you will experience difficulty in creating what you want in your personal life.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, May 26th, 2016 by Donald Altman in THE MINDFULNESS CODE

“Social situations often evoke anxiety as well as excitement. This is especially so when we are meeting new people. How can we bridge that gap of awkwardness? How can we begin to know someone better? Some people find it uncomfortable to allow silence into a conversation, while others feel safe only when asking the questions or interacting superficially. And while a casual understanding may be perfectly okay for certain relationships and acquaintances, what is lost when we view the world and others superficially?

There are ways to move beyond shallow-speak and to break out of our individual perspective. The doorway into another’s world can be found when we allow space for silence and deep listening. To venture into and experience this space is to discover that each of us is really the essence of pure meaning and attention.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 by Alan Cohen in THE DRAGON DOESN’T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

“Spiritual awakening is spread by overflow. We cannot force another into higher consciousness. We are all like flower buds – we must open and bloom at our own rate, catalyzed by the warmth of the sun. The best way to support another person in their growth is to love them. They will feel so free and easy in our presence that their blocks to growth will just melt away.

No amount of preaching, teaching, or pressuring will speed up their evolution, and it may even retard it. We may share, offer ideas, and invite if we feel to do so, yet this reaching out must be offered lightly, with an open hand, so that our friend feels completely free to accept our invitation or decline it. That’s the way sharing God has got to be. God must be chosen.”

“If you see a beggar, don’t be taken in. Ask him instead, “Why are you standing here begging on this street corner, Oh great one?” Let him know that you see who he really is. Look into his eyes and see his divinity with your own, and then ask him how you can be of help.

You see, powerlessness is a great disguise. Look behind the veil and say “I remember you brother.” Don’t just give the beggar money and walk on without acknowledging him. If you wish to give him money, do so. But do not pass by without acknowledging him. For it is not money he needs, but your love, your blessing, your acknowledgment.”

“If you wish to be fully alive you must develop a sense of perspective. Life is infinitely greater than this trifle your heart is attached to and which you have given the power to so upset you. Trifle, yes, because if you live long enough a day will easily come when it will cease to matter. It will not even be remembered – your own experience will confirm this. Just as today you barely remember, are no longer the least bit affected by those tremendous trifles that so disturbed you in the past.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, May 20th, 2016 by Eckhart Tolle in THE POWER OF NOW

“Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life. The only place where you can experience the flow of life is in the Now, so to surrender is to accept the present moment unconditionally and without reservation. It is to relinquish inner resistance to what is.

Inner resistance is to say “no” to what is, through mental judgment and emotional negativity. It becomes particularly pronounced when things “go wrong”, which means that there is a gap between the demands or rigid expectations of your mind and what is. That is the pain gap. If you have lived long enough you will know that things “go wrong” quite often. It is precisely at those times that surrender needs to be practiced if you want to eliminate pain and sorrow from your life. Acceptance of what is immediately frees you from mind identification and thus reconnects you with Being. Resistance is the mind.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, May 19th, 2016 by Sanaya Roman in PERSONAL POWER THROUGH AWARENESS

“Each of you has a personal map of reality, your own assumptions, a unique philosophy about life, and a personal belief system. One of the challenges I will offer you is to look at your map. What is a personal map? For one person a map may say, “There is not enough love in the universe.”For another, their map may say, “Every time I open up to another person I get hurt.” Your maps are based on your childhood and lifetime experiences. They are based on your experience of how your energy has flowed out and how you have been received by others, especially those you loved or wanted love from.

If any area of your life is not working, one of your beliefs in that area needs to be changed. It is time to either get a new map or revise the one you have. You cannot change by forcing yourself, however. You can change it calmly and firmly telling yourself that you intend to go higher, and that you do not plan to get caught up in the argument or in the issues. It may sound simple, but this is all you need to do to start movement out of the conflict. Once you affirm that you intend to go higher, the universe will begin to show you the answers.”

“The way in which we see the world shapes our responses to the challenges life presents us. A sense of gratitude empowers us to choose wisely – how we feel, what we say, what we believe, what we do. How preposterous for us, who are richer and consume 10 times the resources than 95% of the world’s people, who routinely live 25 years longer than our great-grandparents, who bask in personal freedom and potential, to focus on the “half-empty.” Gratitude leads us to see what is available, what can develop. After all, there is nothing to work with in the empty part of the glass.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, May 17th, 2016 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“Praise and bless everything in your life! When you are praising or blessing you are on the highest frequency of love. In the Bible, the Hebrews used the act of blessing to bring forth health, wealth, and happiness. They knew the power of blessing. For many people the only time they have blessed someone was when they sneezed, and so they have not used one of the greatest powers to their full advantage. The dictionary defines blessing as “invoking divine favor and conferring well-being or prosperity,” so begin right now to invoke the power of blessing in your life, and bless everything and everyone. Likewise with praising, for when you are praising someone or something you are giving love, and as you emit that magnificent frequency, it will return to you a hundred-fold.”
