BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 by Stuart Wilde in SILENT POWER

“Trying to Be Someone comes from an insecurity, which stems from the ego’s need for observers and admirers. It needs acknowledgment and stimulation to feel solid. But leaning psychologically and emotionally out into the world, demanding to be noticed, trying to be cool, seeking approval and acceptance, trying to impress, seeking praise and respect, creates imbalance and weakness. It is, in fact, an affirmation that says, “I’m not okay. I need others to approve of me in order to feel secure.” By leaning psychologically, you weaken yourself.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, November 19th, 2007 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“When you feel bad about yourself it feels as though you are sucking the life out of you, because all of your good, on every single subject—including health, wealth, and love—is on the frequency of joy and feeling good. The feeling of having unlimited energy, and that amazing feeling of health and wellness, are all on the frequency of feeling good. When you don’t feel good about You, you are on a frequency that is attracting more people, situations, and circumstances that will continue to make you feel bad about You.

You must change your focus and begin to think about all the things that are wonderful about You. Look for the positives in You. As you focus on those things, the law of attraction will show you more great things about You. You attract what you think about. All you have to do is begin with one prolonged thought of something good about You, and the law of attraction will respond by giving You more like thoughts. Look for the good things about You. Seek and ye shall find!”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, November 16th, 2007 by Sanaya Roman in LIVING A LIFE OF JOY

“Every single part of you has a gift for you and is there as your friend. There is no voice within you that does not have the intent to help you. It may be that it does not have an accurate picture of what you want, or it was set up many years ago and is still operating from an old program. The part of you that experiences fear, for instance, may be trying to protect you in the best way it knows. Your journey in this lifetime is to bring all those parts up into your higher vision and purpose. Learn to love each of your selves, for as you love them you begin the process of uniting them with your higher self.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, November 15th, 2007 by John Randolph Price in SUPERBEINGS

“Never condemn another’s religion, because that particular teaching may be vitally important to his or her soul growth at that point in time. But prophets, teachers and preachers do emerge from time to time who would hinder the soul’s growth with messages that contradict the nature of God, which is Love and the nature of life, which is joy.

Many speak via the avenue of mass media from the platform of organized religion and from the Bible, and so there is credibility to their words. But if they condemn and judge others, if they preach self-degradation, if they rally the masses against a particular segment of society, if they attempt to limit the individual’s freedom or freedom of choice with any form of repression, and if they spread fear of God and mistrust toward man, they are not teaching the Truth.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 by Judith Wright in THE ONE DECISION

“We all have these haunting doubts and self-limiting beliefs that try to present themselves as facts. These thoughts represent stinking thinking that distorts our reality by masquerading as Truth. This way of thinking can become so ingrained that it talks you out of your value, entices you into false substitutes, and creates the illusion of more.

Mistaken beliefs and assumptions spawn stinking thinking. It takes many forms: rationalizing, making excuses, being defensive, over-generalizing, thinking you are unloved or unworthy, labeling, blaming, minimizing, projecting, being prejudiced, mind reading, being superstitious, obfuscating, all-or-nothing thinking—all ways of fudging or denying the truth, escaping from the deeper reality underneath.

Stinking thinking robs you of MORE. This false thinking keeps you from achieving what you could, and discourages you from trying new things, taking risks, and creating MORE. You may use these thoughts to talk yourself out of pursuing MORE before you even get a fighting chance. Stinking thinking lowers motivation and kills hope. And it’s how most of us think and talk most of the time.”>

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 by Arnold M. Patent in YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL

“As we do what we love because we love to do it, we channel energy into the creation of high quality products and services. The people we attract are the ones who will support us in maintaining that level of energy and who want to enjoy the experience of that quality of energy. These are the people who will buy our products or use our services and will be happy to pay us well for them.  Who would not enjoy purchasing a product or service offered by someone whose primary motivation is the joy received from creating it?

The amount of energy we allow to flow through us is related to our willingness to be in alignment with the Universe and to support It by doing what we love. The more perfect our alignment, that is the more perfectly we allow ourselves to express fully and freely what it is we love to do, the more energy we allow to flow through us, and the more abundance we experience.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, November 12th, 2007 by Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. in THE WAYS OF THE MYSTIC

“Do you remember the last time you felt truly passionate about an idea or a person? Passionate attraction leads to a wild, wonderful state in which energy abounds. Need to drive 100 miles to tryst with your lover after work, then drive home and go to work the next morning? No problem in the heightened state that infatuation creates. All things seem possible; all obstacles exciting challenges to surmount. In the case of infatuation with a lover, the spell and the energizing biochemical changes that it weaves, wear off in a few months.

In the case of a dream to which we are committed, such as helping others heal from their wounds, the spell may last for a lifetime. And for as long as we are passionate about our dream, we will have the energy to bring it into manifestation. Perhaps this is what the late mythologist Joseph Campbell was thinking about when he said, “Follow your bliss”.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, November 9th, 2007 by Dr. Joseph Murphy in THE POWER OF YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

“You spend about eight out of every twenty-four hours, or one-third of your entire life, in sleep. This is an inexorable law of life. This also applies to the animal and vegetable kingdoms. Sleep is a divine process, and many answers to our problems come to us when we are sound asleep on the bed. Many people have advocated the the theory that you get tired during the day, that you go to sleep to rest the body, and that a reparative process takes place while you sleep. Nothing rests in sleep. Your heart, lungs, and all your vital organs function while you are asleep. If you eat prior to sleep, the food is digested and assimilated; also, your skin secretes perspiration, and your nails and hair continue to grow.

Your subconscious mind never rests or sleeps. It is always active, controlling all your vital forces. The healing process takes place more rapidly while you are asleep as there is not interference from your conscious mind. Remarkable answers are given to you while you are asleep.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, November 8th, 2007 by Dan Millman and Doug Childers in DIVINE INTERVENTIONS

“Some view suffering as divine punishment for moral transgressions; others see it as a necessary part of the soul’s education and evolution. To find meaning in the suffering and adversity in your own life, look back to before they occurred, and observe yourself now—stronger, wiser, perhaps more compassionate as a result of your struggles. You may see in your own life how the path to Heaven may pass through Hell—and how we sometimes have to deal with the darkness before we can see the light.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, November 7th, 2007 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE

“Forget the idea that God has more important things to think about than you. This thought is not humble, but actually a thinly disguised arrogance. Could the Lord of the universe work at anything less than full capacity, surveying just some but not all of His creation? You will know that to God you are everything when He has become everything to you. God’s infinite and imperturbable love is ever at work, creatively furthering the enhancement of good, everywhere and all the time. God has a plan for your life, and all life, which is perfect and unassailable. There is only one thing that can keep it from finding its way to your door, and that is you.”

“Discontent is not necessarily a bad thing. On the contrary, it is your duty to be discontented with anything less than complete harmony and happiness. Discontent is an evil only when it takes the form of discouragement, cynicism, or despair. A wholesome discontent with dullness, failure, and frustration is your incentive for overcoming such things. Without it, you would never find your true place. But, whoever you are, your true place is calling, calling; and because you really are a spark of the Divine, you will never be content until you answer.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, November 5th, by Cherie Carter-Scott, Ph.D. in IF LIFE IS A GAME, THESE ARE THE RULES

“The opportunity to learn the lesson of awareness is presented each time you feel a sense of discontent in your life. With every desire for a shift in your path, or vision of something different, comes the chance to look within and ask yourself, “What is the truth of what I want? What change do I want to make?” The answer that arises to those questions will provide you with the awareness you need to move forward in your process of change.

There are countless ways to awaken. Paying attention to your feelings is the easiest way to get in touch with your inner machinations. Feelings are the lights on the dashboard of life; when one is illuminated, you can be sure it is a signal of some internal issue that needs to be addressed.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, November 2nd, 2007 by D. Wayne Dyer in YOU’LL SEE IT WHEN YOU BELIEVE IT

“Abundance is not something that we manufacture, but something that we accept and tune in to. If our mind believes in scarcity, expecting only a small portion of life’s abundance, then that is what our life experience will be. We receive that which we are willing to let in, and what we block is not from unavailability but from scarcity beliefs. When we conceptualize abundance and prosperity as something we are deserving of, we notice a significant shift occurring. First the thoughts about what we deserve change, and then slowly our behavior changes. Eventually we know and believe that whatever it is we want is already here, and our belief will cause it to manifest. Again and again I say, we expand what we focus upon.

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, November 1st, 2007 by Anthony DeMello S.J. in THE WAY TO LOVE

“How could you go about creating a happy, loving, peaceful world? By learning a simple, beautiful, but painful art called the art of looking. This is how you do it: Every time you find yourself irritated or angry with someone, the one to look at is not that person but yourself. The question to ask is not, “What’’s wrong with this person?” but, “What does this irritation tell me about myself?” Do this right now.

Think of some irritating person you know and say this painful but liberating sentence to yourself. “The cause of my irritation is not in this person but in me.” Having said that, begin the task of finding out how you are causing the irritation. First look into the very real possibility that the reason why this person’s defects or so-called defects annoy you is that you have them yourself. But you have repressed them and so are projecting them unconsciously into the other. This is almost always true but hardly anyone recognizes it.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 by Neale Donald Walsch in FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

“Spirituality says that all things are part of life, and that is a statement with which no one can disagree. You can argue all you want about whether there is a God, and whether all things are part of God, but you cannot argue about whether there is Life, or whether all things are part of Life.

The only discussion left then is whether life and God are the same things. And I tell you, they are.

Even an agnostic—even an atheist—would agree that there is some force in the Universe that is holding it all together. There is also something that started it all. And if there is something that started it all, there has to have been something existing before the universe as you know it existed.

The universe didn’t just burst into being out of thin air. And even if it did, “thin air” is something. And even if you say that the universe burst into being out of nothing at all, still you must deal with the question of first cause. What caused something to arise out of nothing at all?”
