PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 by Neale Donald Walsch in FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

“Spirituality says that all things are part of life, and that is a statement with which no one can disagree. You can argue all you want about whether there is a God, and whether all things are part of God, but you cannot argue about whether there is Life, or whether all things are part of Life.

The only discussion left then is whether life and God are the same things. And I tell you, they are.

Even an agnostic—even an atheist—would agree that there is some force in the Universe that is holding it all together. There is also something that started it all. And if there is something that started it all, there has to have been something existing before the universe as you know it existed.

The universe didn’t just burst into being out of thin air. And even if it did, “thin air” is something. And even if you say that the universe burst into being out of nothing at all, still you must deal with the question of first cause. What caused something to arise out of nothing at all?”

God, as spoken to Neale Donald Walsch, in “Friendship with God”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 by Alan Cohen, in WHY YOUR LIFE SUCKS AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT

“Your upset over someone else’s behavior is a signal for you rather than them. You have a charge on the issue because you have not come to terms with it yourself. The behavior either reminds you of something about yourself you dislike, or something someone has done in your past you have not come to terms with. (I dated someone who told me she did not like the way I breathed because it reminded her of a former boyfriend she didn’t like—what’s a guy to do).

When you are wigged out by someone else’s behavior, you are in the least optimal position to change them. Instead—and I know it’s really hard—do your best to step back and get your head on straight. Break the momentum of your impulse to get in their face. Then, a few minutes, hours, or days later, when you feel more centered, if you still feel moved to approach them, do so from that position. The results will be infinitely more rewarding for both of you.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 29th, 2007 by Lynn Grabhorn in EXCUSE ME, YOUR LIFE IS WAITING

“Most of us think of blame as the melodramatic pointing of a long, crooked finger towards one who has done scandalous wrong. Yet we’re actually into blame just about every waking moment of our lives. From weather, to rude drivers, to toothpaste caps, we blame from sunup ’til sundown and never think a thing about it.

Oh sure, more times than not we’re probably justified in our accusations, but so what! There’s not an ounce of well-being that can squeak through the low, thick vibration of blame, whether it’s justified or not. In fact, the electromagnetic energy of blame is so potently charged as it flows from us to others, it can cause those who are usually fairly dependable to mess up all over the place. And for sure, sending blame—energy to someone who’s been nasty, stupid, abusive or drunk only amplifies the condition you’d like to see changed.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 26th, by Michael J. Tamura in YOU ARE THE ANSWER

“Purpose gives meaning, and therefore value, to our existence. So, when we isolate ourselves from our purpose, we fall into profound loneliness, bereft of meaning and worth. In reality, however, our worth isn’t predicated on what we do, how much we do, or how well we do. Although our society seems to measure one’s worth according to one’s accomplishments, no one lacks worth or meaning. No human being has any more or less value than another. Each one of us has one hundred percent worth, for our worth is intrinsic to our being. Your inherent worth as a human being never changes, regardless of the amount or quality of your accomplishments.”

“Faith is so rare—and religion so common—because no one wants to live between first base and second base. Faith is the in-between space where you’re not sure you’ll make it to second base. You’ve let go of one thing and haven’t yet latched onto another. Most of us choose the security of first base.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 24th, 2007 by Richard Carlson, PH.D. in DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF

“Nothing helps us build our perspective more than developing compassion for others. Compassion is a sympathetic feeling. It involves the willingness to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, to take the focus off yourself and to imagine what it’s like to be in someone else’s predicament, and simultaneously, to feel love for that person. It’s the recognition that other people’s problems, their pain and frustrations, are every bit as real as our own—often far worse. in recognizing this fact and trying to offer some assistance, we open our hearts and greatly enhance our sense of gratitude.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007 by Stuart Wilde, in LIFE WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE A STRUGGLE

“The very nature of our existence on the earth plane involves us in a certain amount of restriction. That is one of the lessons you come here to learn. Once that lesson is learned, you can move from restriction into absolute freedom, because ultimately your spiritual heritage is to be independent and free. Effort is part of our condition as physical beings, for we have to translate thoughts and feelings into physical action. Struggle, however, is not natural. It is an unholy battle we fight with ourselves. But, because it is a by-product of our personal imbalances, it’s a condition we can easily go beyond.

By having the courage to identify and face the causes of struggle in your life, you grant yourself the power to transcend. Once you accept that you are the cause of struggle, you can then affirm, with certainty, that all struggle in your life can be eliminated, given time.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 22nd, 2007 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“One of the things that people often do when they have an illness is talk about it all the time. That’s because they’re thinking about it all the time, so they’re just verbalizing their thoughts. If you are feeling a little unwell, don’t talk about it—unless you want more of it. Know that your thought was responsible and repeat as often as you can, “I feel wonderful. I feel so good,” and really feel it. If you are not feeling great and somebody asks you how you are feeling, just be grateful that that person has reminded you to think thoughts of feeling well. Speak only the words of what you want.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 19th, 2007 by Paul Ferrini in THE ECSTATIC MOMENT

“When you are honest you see that the aspects of your life that prosper are the ones that you enjoy the most and the ones to which you give your greatest energy and commitment. What you don’t enjoy or give your full attention and commitment to does not prosper.

Whispering a few magical words will not change the emotional allegiance we are referring to. It takes an inner revolution, in which the feet and the hands learn to listen to and align with the heart. What we “do” must be consistent with who we “are.” That is the formula for the flow of love and abundance into our lives.

The truth is there is always enough. But we are asking the wrong question. We are asking “what needs to be done and how can I do it?” when the real question is “who am I and how can I give my gift?”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 18th, 2007 by Sanaya Roman, in PERSONAL POWER THROUGH AWARENESS

“When people are angry with you, it is often an expression of their hurt. Most people feel that they only get angry with just cause, and only get hurt when someone lets them down, aggravates them, rejects them or makes unreasonable demands. But anger can also be used be used to control others. Is your fear of other peoples’ anger controlling your behavior around them? Do you use a threat of anger to control others?

When people get angry with you, or appear to want to hurt you, they may be doing it because they are in pain themselves. Because of their programs and upbringing, because of the way they look at the world, some people may think you have hurt them when you had no intention to do so. Sometimes people get angry when all you are doing is expressing an opinion that differs from theirs, or stating a preference of your own. Be sure you are not coming from a desire to control or manipulate, and if you are not, do not let their anger trigger pain within you.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 17th, 2007 by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer in YOUR SACRED SELF

“You cannot have a better past, so abandon that idea right now. You did what you knew how to do, given the circumstances of your life. Those mistakes of the past were driven by your ego, which wanted to keep you in its grasp. You listened to your false self and recoiled in fear over the idea of anyone knowing your true self.

You moved away from love, but now you are back and making the choice for love. You know deep within you that at your primal level you have been designed for love and happiness. You simply let that false self direct you away from the loving presence that is your essence.

You can choose to return to the brilliant light of love that is always with you. Who you are is that unclouded love. Go there often and all of your fears will be replaced by the love that is always with you.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 by Gregg Braden, in THE ISAIAH EFFECT

“The creation of a wartime mentality of expecting and preparing for conflict in our international world can happen only if we allow for such conflict in our personal lives. As we live individual episodes of “defending ourselves” in romance and personal relationships, “outsmarting” others in our schools, and “out-strategizing” co-workers and competitors, quantum physics reminds us that these individual expressions of our lives pave the way for similar expressions, amplified by orders of magnitude, in another time and place.

To know peace in our world, we must become peace in our lives. From the quantum perspective, it makes little sense to shove people impatiently out of the way to get to our parked vehicle, then dart in and out of traffic rudely cutting off other drivers as we race across town to a rally supporting global peace.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 15th, 2007 by Alan Cohen in RELAX INTO WEALTH

“When something is right and important for you, the universe will stay after you, prodding you to do it. You may resist your next step, put it off, deny it or even run away. But if an event, relationship, activity, or career is in line with your chosen destiny, it will find ways to get your attention and keep you in the game.

If you are not sure whether to do something, try not doing it and see what happens. If the impulse fades away, you have your answer. If, however, the voice becomes more insistent, or you can’t stop thinking about it, or the universe keeps putting the idea “in your face,”, you would probably do well to heed its call.

Rather than judging or belittling you intuitive promptings, imagine they proceed from a source of wisdom. Most of the time you will find there was a good reason you were feeling the impulse. Your intuition is like a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it grows and the more easily you will recognize your joy path. Often you will receive confirmation by some kind of outer sign.

PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 12th, 2007 by Stuart Wilde in THE FORCE

“If you go deep within yourself and clear out the negativity there, you begin to raise your energy. As you do so, you will help others, not because you have assisted them materially, but because you have raised your consciousness. This might sound obscure, but it is a cosmic fact that first you have to heal yourself, you have to find the grail before you will ever be much use to others. You can send them a bag of rice if you wish, but that will not increase, by one iota, their expression of the Force.

To really help people, you have to show them how to increase their power, and if you have not completed your own journey, what will you show them? Confusion? Once you have raised your energy, people will be pulled to you automatically.”

“When you judge another, it is only a reflection of what is inside of you. Your judgments do nothing but energize, empower, and hold in place what is inside of you…If you choose not to judge, what can you do? You can discern. Just as there is a difference between need and desire, there is a difference between judgment and discernment. You have created a brilliant mind capable of discerning very well. You can discern a situation or circumstance for what it is. There is nothing wrong with that. You can even choose to be part of an experience or not but do not judge by placing a value on it. Judgment says it is good or bad, right or wrong. You do not have to place a value on a situation, circumstance, or person in order to discern or to choose one thing versus another.”
