PONDER on THIS for Thursday, April 13th, 2017 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Conscience is important, as is remorse. But they are meant to lead us to new life, not leave us drowning in a sea of guilt. When we have chosen fear instead of love – and who among us hasn’t – … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, February 10th, 2017 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“It seems to be that the key to happiness lies in getting over yourself. The happiest times of my life have been when I was more involved in something I was doing for others rather than in something I was … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“We’ve created a God in our own image: angry and judgmental because we are. God Himself is merciful and all-loving, but we have projected onto Him our fear. This separates us from His love, from His healing, and from each … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“So often we try to hide who we are rather than to heal who we are. We’re afraid that if we show our true selves, something ugly will appear. Only when we realize Who lives within us do we see … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, April 9th, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Being caught in anger, judgment, and blame is disempowering; it throws us out of our center; it puts us at the effect of the lovelessness of someone else. To be there for a while is one thing; to stay there … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, March 11th, 2012 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Someone once sent me a photograph that had been taken by a fisherman in Newfoundland. It was a picture of an iceberg, not only the part of it that protrudes above the water line, but also what’s underneath the water. … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 11th, 2012 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“If we want to change worlds, then we have to change time slots. There’s no point in trying to watch Seinfeld at 8:00 if it’s on at 7:00. And there’s no point in trying to find miracles in the past … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“A few weeks before my father died, he was lying on his favorite bench, already gravely ill, and I was sitting on the floor next to him. He had an intense but faraway look in his eyes, and he said, … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Thursday, June 30th, 2011 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Underneath the layer of our normal thinking lies a level of consciousness that is pure love and peace. Yet we cannot reach that consciousness simply by deciding to; we have to dig deep into the ground of our inner being, … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, January 18th, 2011 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“If you are as God created you, then no mistakes you’ve ever made or anyone’s judgments or negative opinions about you can in any way determine who you are or change your value. In the Holy Instant, we can remember … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, December 9th, 2010 by Marianne Williamson, in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“When we accept ourselves exactly as we are, and where we are, we have more energy to give to life. We are not wasting our time trying to make things different. Any moment that we relax into the deeper ground … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 21st, 2010 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Every relationship is a teaching-learning assignment. Anyone we are destined to meet, we will. We are drawn to each other for teaching and learning, as each of us is presented with the chance to learn the next lesson in the … Continue reading
BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, September 16th, 2010 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Whenever our outer world becomes stuck, it is incumbent upon us to look, not outward, but inward. It is a call to find the places in ourselves where we are holding on to old ways – where we blame others … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Monday, June 8th, 2009 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“Sometimes there are issues that we push to the back of a drawer, as it were. We know they belong to us and that we’ll have to deal with them someday. But we keep putting them off and putting them … Continue reading
PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE
“It’s important to give up yesteryear when yesteryear is gone. I remember complaining to my best friend that when I lecture, I’m not as fast as I once was, not as snap-crackle-and-pop in my delivery. His response was helpful: that … Continue reading
