PONDER on THIS for Thursday, March 5th, 2015 by Michelle Bersell in F.E.E.L.: FEEL EVERY EMOTION AS LOVE

“Being human, you are going to get stubborn sometimes about your beliefs and behaviors. This happens to all of us because having a set way of being and doing can simplify life so that you are not constantly having to reinvent the wheel. The problem is, it becomes difficult to recognize when you are too narrowly focused. Rather than seeing the warning signs of your limited view, your ego turns frustration and disappointment into blaming other people or circumstances. Remain unaware, and you unconsciously sabotage your dreams.

Thank goodness you feel frustration, because that energy is present to tell you to stop unconsciously acting upon your fears and choose your inner guidance instead. Your fear sees danger, dead ends, and overall impossibility, while your essence knows exactly what you need to do. The question is: Are you willing to step outside the comfort zone of what you believe you know and instead do something which initially makes no sense to your rational mind? If you continue to say no, frustration will only grow, eventually turning into anger, depression, or anxiety until you are willing to trust.”

Michelle Bersell, in “F.E.E.L.: Feel Every Emotion as Love”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 by Shakti Gawain in LIVING IN THE LIGHT

“When we choose not to follow our intuitive promptings, we close off our channel and our cells receive less energy. The body begins to deteriorate faster. When we aren’t following the flow of energy, life becomes a struggle. Stress and strain take their toll on the physical form and we can see the struggle in our faces and bodies. Lines of worry form and the body begins to bend with the effort it is making. If we continue to choose to close off the energy moment after moment, day after day, year after year, eventually the body will age, deteriorate, and die. If we change our pattern and begin to trust ourselves more, the body will begin to be renewed.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 by Marianne Williamson in EVERYDAY GRACE

“The time to show up fully for life is right now, whatever the circumstances. The decision to be the divine attracts the divine. Life is a swirling pool of infinite potential at every single moment, and we ourselves either activate or refuse to activate the mystical fertility of the universe. The only way to achieve an exciting life is to be willing to be excited and exciting. The only way to achieve an excellent life is to be willing to be excellent. The only way to achieve love is to be willing to be more loving. Who and what we decide to be, in each and every moment, is reflected back to us in worldly forms. Situations that just “seem” to happen are not necessarily random at all. With every thought, we ourselves decide whether to welcome God’s reality and its miraculous prospects.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, March 2nd, 2015 by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer in YOUR SACRED SELF

“When you are involved in discussions that revolve around taking pot-shots at individuals who are not present, practice defending the person in his or her absence. Make a habit of being the one person in the group who defends the absent persons. You can wonder out loud how that person would explain the ways of being that are being criticized, and suggest that there may be more than what is seen on the surface.

These kinds of statements serve to restrain the ego’s need to compare and feel superior, and they serve your higher self, which wants to help others. This is a particularly beneficial lesson to teach young children, who have a tendency to gang up and “rip” the absent. Always ask, “Who here is defending the person who isn’t here to defend him/herself?”

“Write this agreement on paper, and put it on your refrigerator to remind you all the time: DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY.

As you make the habit of not taking anything personally, you won’t need to place your trust in what others do or say. You will only need to trust yourself to make responsible choices. You are never responsible for the actions of others; you are only responsible for you. When you truly understand this, and refuse to take things personally, you can hardly be hurt by the careless comments or actions of others.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, February 26th, 2015 by Wayne W. Dyer in MANIFEST YOUR DESTINY

“Contemplate the energy that is your life force. Forget about your body and your thoughts, and focus attention on the invisible life force that sustains your very being, which is also known as chi or prana. See if you can sense it objectively and also try to do the same thing with the energy of someone close to you. Watch that person and forget about his or her body. Center your attention on the idea that you share the same energy, and so you are the same person at that energy level.

Becoming an observer of your energy and the energy of those around you is a way of putting you in contact with the spiritual essence of everyone and everything. Awareness of this connection will help you being to use this energy to attract the objects of your desire, since the life force in also present in all that you wish to manifest in your life.”

“On the surface, we may seem very different from one another. After all, we are different races, have different politics, different religions, different philosophies, different beliefs, different nationalities, different opinions, different values. One of us may be a scraggly beggar while the other is an educated writer. But are we really that dissimilar? Too frequently we may notice our superficial differences while overlooking our incredible oneness.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 by Susan Shumsky in INSTANT HEALING

“Have you ever considered that what you believe to be truth is not really truth? Your perception of reality might be skewed by false beliefs, habits, conditions, and patterns. Voices of parents, teachers, family, friends, peers, coworkers, pastors, rabbis, priests, gurus, psychics, doctors, psychologies, counselors, society, the media, and the collective human consciousness have all brainwashed you to believe as you do.

Therefore, how you perceive yourself is colored by the window through which you gaze. That window might be clear, pristine, and colorless, or any color in the rainbow. Who you think you are is not who you really are. For you are bound by illusions and false perceptions. Even the great on the mountaintop has a body, and anyone dwelling in physical form is, by definition, in avidya (ignorance), or at the very least lesh avidya (faint remains of ignorance).”

“If you believe in what you see, then you are believing in the creations of the past. Everything you have right now in your life, you created from the past. Everything you have from here on out can be created at this moment, and it can be created differently. You do not need to know specifically what you will do tomorrow or the next day. You can start by BELIEVING that you do have a purpose, a concrete purpose, and you can begin by asking it to unfold for you. If you begin believing in and acting as if you know what to do with your life, you WILL.”

“One of the greatest thieves of your natural humor and laughter are secrets. We pretend we’re able to hide things, to keep things to ourselves and no one will ever know. How silly. We’re all on “Cosmic Camera” 24/7. If you don’t realize that now, you’ll get quite a surprise after you die. You’ll get to experience your life from the view of that all-seeing, all-knowing “camera.” Not a thought or feeling is missed. Whoops! There goes a nasty thought you just had.

Trying to hide things takes an enormous amount of energy. Sure, we could hide many things from many people, but not from everyone, and NEVER from the “Cosmic Camera.” We have a choice; we can build walls and more walls to keep others from finding out, or realize that everything is already known, that there’s nothing to hide, and just be amused at the cosmic joke.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, February 19th, 2015 by Mark Nepo in THE BOOK OF AWAKENING

“It seems impossible, but every humbled life has cried it is so: The sweetness of living comes to us when the very humanness we regret and try to hide, our seeming flaws and shameful secrets, are worked by time and nature into a honey all their own. Ultimately, it is where we are not perfect – where we are broken and cracked, where the wind whistles through – that is the stuff of transformation.

Like other people, many of the things I’ve wanted to be have crumbled over time into cinders that have sparked the very next dream. And the hurtful things I’ve never meant to say have thickened my tongue over time into a kindness I didn’t think possible. And each time I’ve failed at being what someone else needed or wanted or hoped for – each failure at love has solidified into unexpected learnings. The painful shavings of one love have become the spices of joy in the next.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, February, 18th, 2015 by Eckhart Tolle in THE POWER OF NOW

“When someone goes to the doctor and says, “I hear a voice in my head,” he or she will most likely be sent to a psychiatrist. The fact is that, in a very similar way, virtually everyone hears a voice, or several voices, in their head all the time: the involuntary thought processes that you don’t realize you have the power to stop. Continuous monologues or dialogues.

You have probably come across “mad” people in the street incessantly talking or muttering to themselves. Well, that’s not much different from what you and all other “normal” people do, except that you don’t do it out loud. The voice comments, speculates, judges, compares, likes, dislikes, and so on. The voice isn’t necessarily relevant to the situation you find yourself in at the time; it may be reviving the recent or distant past or rehearsing or imaging possible future situations.

Even if the voice is relevant to the situation at hand, it will interpret it in terms of the past. This is because the voice belongs to your conditioned mind, which is the result of all your past history, as well as of the collective cultural mind-set you inherited. So you see and judge the present through the eyes of the past and get a totally distorted view of it.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 by Sara Chetkin in THE HEALING CURVE

“Acceptance is the joyful result of your awareness that God is in all things. I came to this awareness through many experiences; and in these moments, I knew that the world was wholly divine and in perfect order. Think about it: if there is nothing outside of God, including yourself, then there is nothing for you to improve. You can allow everything to be as it is. As soon as you give up your throne, you can participate in the infinite joy, love, and perfection that exist in the world. Is there something more perfect or sacred than life itself? Is there something more beautiful than the trees or the sky or you? How easily we forget the sheer magnitude of life. How it is for us to see the good when we focus so intently on the bad. Life is grand, and it is ours to enjoy. So, acceptance of life isn’t a task or a sacrifice. It is a gift.

Consider what would happen if you acknowledged that something more intelligent than you created this world: you would begin to interact with it in a very different way. How your perspective would change if you knew that the people in in your life and everything that is happening to you, everything that you observe around you, is a manifestation of the divine order of this universe. Wouldn’t the quality of your interactions change drastically? The world looks a lot different to someone who is humble and loving than it does to someone who feels disempowered and angry.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, February 16th, 2015 by Debbie Ford in THE DARK SIDE OF THE LIGHT CHASERS

“Every human being is born with a healthy emotional system. We love and accept ourselves when we are born. We don’t make judgments about which parts of ourselves are good and which parts are bad. We dwell in the fullness of our being, living in the moment, and expressing ourselves freely.

As we grow older, we begin to learn from the people around us. They tell us how to act, when to eat, when to sleep, and we begin to make distinctions. We learn which behaviors bring us acceptance and which bring us rejection. We learn if we get a prompt response or if our cries go unanswered. We learn to trust the people around us or to fear the people around us. We learn consistency or inconsistency. We learn which qualities are acceptable in our environment and which are not. All of this distracts us from living in the moment and keeps us from expressing ourselves freely.

We need to revisit the experience of our innocence that allows us to accept all of who we are at every moment. This is where we need to be in order to have a healthy, happy, complete human existence.”

“Be careful that you don’t get stuck in dogmatic perceptions of spirituality. Become the crooked tree. Stand at the back. Be silent. Don’t talk unless people ask you to. If you have perception, you can look at a person on the street and see their life story right there; don’t say anything. If you know the answer, keep quiet; don’t show it to people. If they ask you, give them a little bit, just enough to take them to the next step. But don’t dump ten tons of your wisdom upon them because it isn’t necessary, is it? A little bit here, and a little bit there, is all you have to do.

Be humble. People get a little bit of spirituality and then make a huge fuss over it. There’s nothing more off-putting than a person who doesn’t really know anything, trotting around like he or she is the sage on the mount.”
