PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 by Catherine Ponder in OPEN YOUR MIND TO PROSPERITY

“You must get rid of what you do not want, to make way for what you do want. Substance (gold dust, mind power) does not flow easily into a cluttered, crowded situation. Substance does not flow easily into a cluttered, crowded mind. Substance does not flow easily into a cluttered, crowded, hate-filled emotional state. You must begin to form a vacuum, in both outer and inner ways. Magnetic influences are transmitted perfectly through a vacuum. By forming a vacuum, you become magnetic to your good! I have seen it happen hundreds of times.

Get rid of what you do not want in an outer way. Clean up, clean out the closets, desk drawers, house, car, office. Forming a vacuum in an outer way makes a believer out of your subconscious mind, which then goes to work in inner ways to manifest greater prosperity for you. There has to be a release of the old to make way for the new. You can unblock your good by forming a vacuum.”

Catherine Ponder, in “Open Your Mind to Prosperity”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, November 17th, 2014 by Eckhart Tolle in THE POWER OF NOW

“Compassion is the awareness of a deep bond between yourself and all creatures. But there are two sides to compassion, two sides to this bond. On the one hand, since you are still here as a physical body, you share the vulnerability and mortality of your physical form with every other human and with every living being.

Next time you say, “I have nothing in common with this person,” remember that you have a great deal in common: A few years from now – two years or seventy years, it doesn’t make much difference – both of you will have becoming rotting corpses, then piles of dust, then nothing at all. This is a sobering and humbling realization that leaves little room for pride.

Is this a negative thought? No, it is a fact. Why close your eyes to it? In that sense, there is total equality between you and every other creature.”

“Spiritual growth involves developing the ability to understand yourself and to act in higher and higher ways. Everything in your life is teaching you about yourself. Do not make yourself wrong if you have a lot of turbulence in your life; see it as an opportunity to grow and to know more about yourself.

Notice that you have already gained a level of mastery over your emotions, for there are certain situations that might have greatly upset you years ago that you now let pass quickly. Perhaps when someone slighted you in the past you felt bad about it for days. Now you simply shrug and decide it’s their problem, not yours. You will get to a point, if you aren’t there already, at which you can say, “People are the way they are, and I will not take their actions personally.”

“What can you do to change the frequency of something unwanted to something wanted, whether it’s health or anything you desire? The first step in the process is to become conscious of your thoughts and how you feel as a result of them. Your emotions and feelings are your guidance system. When you notice that you are feeling negative, stop and change your thought. Shift your attention off what is causing you to feel badly and consciously and deliberately choose to focus on what feels better. Remember, you are always “at choice” and can always choose to focus on something else. There are areas of your life that you have been practicing thoughts and feelings about that now have beliefs associated with them. The good news is, you can change that.”

“Author Gregg Levoy tells us in his book, “Callings,” that in the Afghani language, the verb “to cling” is the same as “to die.” Facing our death shifts our perspective on life, and consequently our relationship to it. It reveals to us all the lies that we are living, all that we are clinging to with a “death grip.” Most of us don’t want to die. Yet few of us ARE TRULY LIVING. We tend to be sleepwalkers, attached to illusions, people, beliefs and things that become substitutes for living. Choosing life involves a loosening of our death-grip on our attachments, a surrendering of the illusions we tend to snooze in.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 by Walter E. Jacobson M.D. in FORGIVE TO WIN

“There are no good reasons not to forgive others because, regardless of how others have behaved, if we don’t forgive them, we’re only hurting ourselves. We’re only perpetuating our own suffering. We think we’re punishing others when we withhold forgiveness. We think we’re beating them up with guilt and shame. However, the ironic truth is that, because of the nature of projection, it is ourselves we’re attacking. It is ourselves we’re punishing. It is ourselves we’re keeping in an emotional prison.

The only way to put an end to this self-punishment is to stop punishing others with our harsh judgments and to forgive them instead. Consequently, every day we remind ourselves that we are determined to forgive others for our own good. Every day, we remind ourselves that we are determined to forgive others for our own self-esteem and success. Every day we remind ourselves that we are determined to forgive others because not to do so may be gratifying to our petty, selfish, frightened ego, but will forever keep us from the life we want.”

“When asking for help from your highest spiritual power, I think it is best not to demand immediate change. Our success in life is predicated on planning, but we do have alternative paths to choose from to reach certain goals. When seeking guidance, I suggest requesting help with just the next step in your life. When you do this, be prepared for unexpected possibilities. Have the faith and humility to open yourself up to a variety of paths toward solutions.”

“We must remember that trying to solve the world’s problems through a primarily external focus is not very effective. The world is full of people attempting to find solutions to community and planetary problems with little success and much struggle, because they are not fully confronting deeper levels of the issues. As well-meaning as we may be, if we try to “fix” things outside ourselves, without healing the underlying causes of the problem in our own consciousness, we simply perpetuate the problem.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, November 6th, 2014 by Gary Spinell in IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG

“In all sports, contests, job interviews, and vying for promotions, there are perceived winners and losers. And in our society, winning is everything. Everyone has a choice in life to look at the outcome of a situation or event as success and failure, or learn what works and develop a new strategy. If we look at the world in the “either/or” terms of winning and losing, it leads us down one path. Either we win and others lose or the reverse is true, they win and we lose. This win-lose scenario creates a negative path that can lead to frustration, resentment, and anger. The negativity begins to dampen our self-esteem. Conversely, when we look at losses or problems as opportunities, as if one door is closing and another door opens, it creates a different world for us.

How many times in your life were you passed over for a job, only to have a better opportunity open up for you? Or a relationship that you wanted to work out didn’t, only to create the space for a new relationship to come into your life that far exceeded any expectations you had of the previous one? Many of us have experienced unfortunate events. Successful people do not view life in “either/or” terms. They examine what works and what does not work. They make adjustments and implement new tactics. Successful people don’t take it personally. There is no impact to their self-esteem when they make an unsuccessful attempt to obtain their goal.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 by James Redfield in THE CELESTINE PROPHECY

“We all have many more thoughts than we realize. To recognize them we must take an observer position. When a thought comes, we must ask why? Why did this particular thought come now? How does it relate to my life questions? Taking this observer position helps us release our need to control everything. It places us in the flow of evolution.

What about negative thoughts? Those fear images of something bad happening, such as someone we love getting hurt, or of not achieving something we very much want?

Fear images should be halted as soon as they come. Then another image, one with a good outcome, should be willed through the mind. Soon, negative images will almost never happen. Your intuitions will be about positive things. When negative images come after that, they should be taken very seriously and not followed.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 by William L. Murtha in DYING FOR A CHANGE

Will Murtha: I’m really getting to understand that emotions are one of the most urgent issues we all face.

Voice of Higher Presence: On a global, regional and local scale. If emotions could be expressed openly, honestly, and at the time they arise, the human race would take several steps toward a new evolution. Deny that emotion plays a pivotal fulcrum in the process of peace, and society will pay the ultimate price.

Will Murtha: I don’t like the sound of that.

Voice of Higher Presence: Then be a living example of this new, awakened consciousness. Express your emotions openly and truthfully at every single opportunity. It is possible to honor a person’s dignity by telling him exactly as it is. You simply have to tell the absolute truth, not some of the time, but all of the time. Then you will become a living, walking and talking example of this higher truth that so many now cry out for. You will become someone who not only honors the true emotions within himself, but also the emotional truth in all others. Emotion is all about bringing your truth to the surface, regardless of whether it contradicts an established truth or ruffles a few feathers.”

“Stop for a moment and catch your thought. What are you thinking right now? If it is true that thoughts shape your life, would you want what you were thinking right now to become true for you? If it’s a thought of worry or anger or hurt or revenge or fear, how do you think this thought will come back to you?

It is not always easy to catch our thoughts because they move so swiftly. However, we can begin right now to watch and listen to what we say. If you hear yourself expressing negative words of any sort, stop in mid-sentence. Either rephrase the sentence or just drop it. You could even say to it, OUT.”

“Our power of creation is the word. The word is the most powerful tool that humans possess. It is the tool of magic. The word creates the light, and because the light is the messenger of Life, the word IS Life or God. The Gospel of John in the Bible expresses the power of the word quite clearly: “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word is God.” Regardless of the language we speak, our INTENT manifests through the word. Through the word we manifest everything; we express our will, our intent, our love, and our faith, which are all the same thing.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 30th, 2014 by Richard A. Singer in YOUR DAILY WALK WITH THE GREAT MINDS

“Celebrated souls throughout the history of humankind have erred countless times; this will continue to occur infinitely. Without error, the Universe never gets to divulge the entire picture. Error is not failure or the end of a journey, it is merely a sign that guides us on our path to success and lets us know we are getting closer to our desired goal. Error is not meant to stop you or slow you down; its function is to motivate you to continue because you are closer now than ever before. From every error something is learned and growth silently takes place in the evolution of your soul and the universal spirit.”

“Each question that a person asks, such as, “Why does news of this business meeting affect me this way?”, “Why do I feel disturbed?”, and “Does my experience support my suspicion?”, invokes guidance. Every time you ask for guidance, you receive it. Every time you ask yourself, “What is my motivation?”, you ask the Universe, “Help me to see,” and help comes.

You may not always be capable of hearing the answers to your questions when you ask them, and the answers may not always come in the ways that you expect, but they always come. Sometimes an answer occurs in the form of a feeling – a yes feeling or a no feeling – sometimes in the form of a memory, or a thought that, at the time, seems random, sometimes in a dream and sometimes in the form of a realization that is prompted by an experience that will occur the next day.”
