PONDER on THIS for Thursday, April 13th, 2017 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE

“Conscience is important, as is remorse. But they are meant to lead us to new life, not leave us drowning in a sea of guilt. When we have chosen fear instead of love – and who among us hasn’t – then the love we might have chosen is “held in trust for us by the Holy Spirit” until we are ready to receive it. To me, that’s one of the most incredible principles in A Course in Miracles. It’s amazing when you think about it: I could have said or done the right, loving thing, and if I had, then such and such a thing would then have happened. However, I did not. I’ve been trained by the world to think with fear, and I did. Yet God saved the possibility I turned down, until I’m ready to return to love and choose again.”

“Individual is defined by Webster as not divisible, not separable. Grasp that in its fullness. It means we are all part of a united Soul-base that cannot be divided. Thus, I am a part of you and you are part of me and we are one eternally. This is why we must not see each other as poor, sick, unfulfilled, fearful, and burdened with guilt. That is impossible in spiritual vision and that is the vision we must hold. To see through the eyes of ego and behold someone else as less than perfect is to call forth into manifestation that which is not desired for us individually.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 by Tony Burroughs in THE LAW OF AGREEMENT

NOTE: Today marks the 10th anniversary of Pondercentral.com. A hearty “thanks” to blog consultants Derrick Sorles and Michael Snell of Business Blogging Consultants for suggesting I create this site to allow for easy email delivery of the daily “Ponder on This” messages. Without them, this website might never have come into existence.

“Oftentimes, when people are looking for someone to commiserate with them, they have a vested interest in their suffering. They don’t really want to change, or they’re seeking validation for their problems; they’re looking to keep things the way they are, instead of getting better. They want to continue to receive the money, the medicines, the perks, or the attention that they’ve become accustomed to receiving.

That’s how we can tell the difference between commiseration and compassion. The person who evokes your compassion is truly suffering and looking for a way out of it. The person who wants you to commiserate with them is usually protecting the status quo. To discern which is which, check in with your feelings. Compassion elicits a feeling of love and empathy toward the sufferer, while commiseration leaves you feeling down and asking yourself why you felt you had to add to another’s problems (and your own) by agreeing with them.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, April 10th, 2017 by Marianne Williamson in ILLUMINATA

“When we wake up in the morning, it’s a good idea not to go directly to the newspaper, radio, television, or coffee. Those things testify to the reality of the outer world. By the act of perceiving that world, we fortify our attachment to it. The outer world is the realm of the non-essential. To the extent that we focus on it, we remain stuck in the realm of effect not cause.

The inner world is the realm of the essential, in the world and in ourselves. The realm of the essential is the realm of the artist, the philosopher, the holy, the pure. By the act of our perceiving it, we fortify our experience of it. It is the realm not of effect, but of cause. It is the purpose of our lives to cause a better world.”

“When you are a child and your mother says, “You are never going to learn to dance,” if you agree with her, then that’s it—you are never going to learn to dance. Even if your reasoning mind says, “I don’t know why I can’t learn to dance,” it is because you really believe you cannot learn to dance. If you believe that you’re not good at sports, then you’re not good at sports. If you believe that you’re not beautiful, then that’s it—you don’t feel beautiful.

Those beliefs are the Parasites, and they are eating you alive. People are exactly what they believe they are because they have complete faith in what they believe. That faith is their word, and they are using the word in the wrong way: against themselves.”

“Emotions are your own personal guidance system. They are energy. It’s the judgment you assign to them that causes trouble or pain. What if you viewed emotions only as a tool, a source of data and information? This way, even the bad ones can feel better. If you’re feeling bored, or impatient, for example, those feelings could be telling you that you’ve strayed too far from your passions or values. Are you quick to snap in anger? Maybe the hostility is hiding a hurt you need to heal before moving forward. Uncomfortable feelings reveal us to ourselves, this is healing and enlightening, whether you like it or not.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer in YOUR SACRED SELF

“Make a list of the beliefs you still hang on to which no longer serve you. Seeing them in writing will help you identify how absurd it is to stay rooted in the beliefs of others. As you examine your beliefs, see how many start with “should’ and ‘shouldn’t”. These kinds of sentences were your earliest training and may still occupy such a large space inside you that you have no room for new knowings.

Look for sentences like: You should pay attention to what your neighbors think. You should be angry when people mistreat you. You should hate your enemies. You shouldn’t disagree with me. You shouldn’t be happy when others around you are suffering. You should feel guilty about your success when others have so little. You shouldn’t forget about what your father always believed.

There is a long list of should-beliefs that inhibit your entrance to the bliss of a spiritual life. Those beliefs must be replaced with knowings that come from your personal experience.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 by Stuart Wilde in THE LITTLE MONEY BIBLE

“People often wonder why a god that is all love and compassion can allow pain and suffering. But it’s easy to see that the spirit – the one you actually are – doesn’t “do” any pain and suffering. It remains always in a state of grace, a state of complete positiveness – even if it is collecting painful memories that the ego experiences.

By the time a child becomes a mature being, it has downloaded the negative waves of its culture and the global mind – the collective mind, if you like. Your job, then, is to work your way out of that and return to the real you, that spark of the Christ consciousness within. That’s the seminar – transmuting the negative into compassion and love. In other words, you are busy re-creating your spiritual identity here in our slowish-particle 3-D world.”

“Visualization is a process that has been taught by all the great teachers and avatars throughout the centuries, as well as by all the great teachers living today…The reason visualization is so powerful is because as you create pictures in your mind of seeing yourself with what it is you want, you are generating thoughts and feelings of having it now. Visualization is simply powerful focused thought in pictures, and it causes equally powerful feelings. When you are visualizing, you are emitting that powerful frequency out into the Universe. The law of attraction will take hold of that powerful signal and return those pictures back to you, just as you say them in your mind.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, March 31st, 2017 by Fr. Anthony DeMello in AWARENESS

“Pleasant experiences make life delightful. Painful experiences lead to growth. Pleasant experiences make life delightful, but they don’t lead to growth in themselves. What leads to growth is painful experiences. Suffering points up an area in you where you have not yet grown, where you need to grow and be transformed and change. If you knew how to use that suffering, oh, how you would grow…

The disappointment you experience when things don’t turn out as you wanted them to, watch that! Look at what it says about you. I say this without condemnation (otherwise you’re going to get caught up in self-hatred). Observe it as you would observe it in another person. Look at that disappointment, that depression you experience when you are criticized. What does that say about you?”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, March 30th, 2017 by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer in YOU’LL SEE IT WHEN YOU BELIEVE IT

“Every thing is energy. Nothing is solid. Everything vibrates at its own level of reality, and while form appears to be solid, a simple examination under a microscope reveals that solid object is actually alive with dancing molecules vibrating at a little less than the speed of light and thus appearing to us to be solid. Energy is the very stuff of the universe, and thoughts are a part of that “stuff.”

So when you are having a thought about something that you would like to see happen for yourself, remember it is nothing more than connecting the two frequencies together to make the reality happen for you. Keep in mind that if you are capable of conceiving the idea in your head as an image of something that you would like, then it is already here. And when you begin to doubt it, remember to ask yourself, “Where else could it be if it’s not here in our reality system?”

“Where else could they be?” is a wonderful question to ask yourself when you start doubting your images are going to work out for you.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 by Wayne W. Dyer in MANIFEST YOUR DESTINY

“Generosity for the sake of liberating yourself from your ego extends to more than simply sharing your material possessions. Generosity includes offering kindness, care, love and nurturing where it is needed. Furthermore, the spirit of generosity can and does ultimately relate to how we treat ourselves. If you have a generous heart that has no qualms about giving, you will treat yourself lovingly, and will nurture yourself without feeling any sense of guilt.

When you can give freely, as an unconditional act of love, with no expectations, you experience what I call total freedom. You relinquish the hold of your self-absorbed ego, which encourages you to believe in limitation and competition. This ability to give without conditions is also an acknowledgment that whatever has manifested into your life has come from an infinite supply, and that you can never experience a scarcity consciousness because you know that you are part of the infinite supply.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, March 28th 2017 by Neale Donald Walsch in FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

“Be still and know that I am God.
I mean that literally.
Be still.

That is how you will know that I am God, and that I am always with you. That is how you will know that you are One with Me. That is how you will meet the Creator inside of you. If you have come to know Me, to trust Me, to love Me, and to embrace me – if you have taken the steps to having a friendship with God – then you will never doubt that I am with you always, and all ways.

So, as I have said before, embrace me. Spend a few moments each day embracing your experience of Me. Do this now, when you do not have to, when life circumstances do not seem to require you to. Now, when it seems that you do not even have time to. Now, when you are not feeling alone. So that when you are “alone,” you will know that you are not.”

“Very often a physical, financial, or relationship setback is the beginning of a significant course correction. The setback was really a setup. An apparent failure becomes a stepping-stone toward a new goal vastly more rewarding than the original one. Many people who lose their job, get divorced, or face a health crisis are motivated to do things they never would have done if they had simply coasted along in their old way of life. Many people settle for passionless, boring, unrewarding work or relationships, and do not realize how unhappy they are until they are jolted out of it by some unexpected event. Such jolts are the universe’s way to stir you to more fulfilling living.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, March 24th, 2017 by Stuart Wilde in AFFIRMATIONS

“It is rare that you meet a person who is truly dedicated. When you do, you find that he is almost always very successful. Dedication is the warrior’s prayer to him-or herself. It is a mode of fierce concentration. One becomes so attached and devoted to the cause that eventually one’s desires materialize.

The world is full of obstacles. If you review the lives of the great men and women who have walked the earth plane, you will find that it was dedication that made them special. They persevered despite the odds. They achieved their goals through thick and thin. They overcame social, physical, and financial difficulties and created success.

Dedication is vital. You have to live your life like a warrior and breathe your ambitions. If you are half-hearted, the Universal Law responds spastically. If you lack courage, the energy around you lacks courage. If you falter, the Universal Law falters with you.”
