BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 19th, 2015 by Wayne W. Dyer in MANIFEST YOUR DESTINY

“When we “depreciate” something, we devalue or diminish its worth. We depreciate things or people by expressing disapproval or dislike. When we appreciate something or someone, we give value with approval and praise. When we appreciate things, we mean to increase their worth.

It is impossible to feel grateful for something or someone we do not value. Begin to see things and people as they truly are rather than your assessment of them, which is an inner judgment. Each person is a child of God. See the unfolding of God in each person you meet. Then you are able to appreciate them. When you fail to do this, you depreciate them.

Your experience of misery, emptiness and fear is related to your depreciation of what shows up in your life. Think of everything that you criticize regularly and you will see where you have failed to appreciate. If you find fault with blacks or whites, Muslims or Jews, Iraqis or Americans, the young or the old, what you are doing is devaluing groups of people. The moment you participate in the depreciation process, you block your ability to experience gratitude and, consequently, you obstruct your ability to manifest prosperity, love and joy.”

Wayne W. Dyer, in “Manifest Your Destiny”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 16th, 2015 by Sanaya Roman in SPIRITUAL GROWTH

“Many of you spend more time and energy worrying about doing things than doing them. How often have you put off doing something, thinking it might take too much work, only to find that once you were in the mood to do it and got started, it was easier than you thought? If there is something you keep putting off, let it go for a while and stop making yourself wrong for not doing it. Sometimes pressuring yourself to do something makes it harder to start.

To create more time, watch your words and thoughts about time. Do you say to yourself or others, “I never have enough time; I am so pressured, and I wonder how I’ll get all this done?” Your words, thoughts, and beliefs are creating your reality, so begin by telling yourself you have all the time you need. Start saying such things as, “I have all the time I need; I do things in a relaxed, focused way.” Even if you don’t believe this at first, your words and thoughts will soon create this as your reality.”

Sanaya Roman, in “Spiritual Growth”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 15th, 2015 by Don Miguel and Don Jose Ruiz in THE FIFTH AGREEMENT

“If you use your awareness, you will see everything you believe, and this is how you live your life. Your life is totally dominated by the system of beliefs that you learned. Whatever you believe is creating the story that you’re experiencing; whatever you believe is creating the emotions that you’re experiencing. And you may really want to believe that you are what you believe, but that image is completely false. It’s not you.

The real you is unique and it’s beyond everything that you know, because the real you is the truth. You, the human, are the truth. Your physical presence is real. What you believe about yourself is not real, and it’s not important unless you want to create a better story for yourself. Truth or fiction; either way, the story that you’re creating is a work of art. It’s a wonderful story, a beautiful story, but it’s just a story, and it’s as close to the truth as you can get by using symbols.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 by Eckhart Tolle in PRACTICING THE POWER OF NOW

“Are you worried? Do you have many “what if” thoughts? You are identified with your mind, which is projecting itself into an imaginary future situation and creating fear. There is no way that you can cope with such a situation, because it doesn’t exist. It’s a mental phantom. You can stop this health – and life corroding insanity simply by acknowledging the present moment.

BECOME AWARE OF YOUR BREATHING. Feel the air flowing in and out of your body. Feel your inner energy field. All that you ever have to deal with, cope with, in real life – as opposed to imaginary mind projections – is this moment. Ask yourself what “problem” you have right now, not next year, tomorrow, or five minutes from now. What is wrong with this moment?

You can always cope with the Now, but you can never cope with the future – nor do you have to. The answer, the strength, the right action, or the resource will be there when you need it, not before, not after.”

Eckhart Tolle, in “Practicing The Power of Now”

“Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered.” When you think about it, the practice of Intentionally Centering Attention Now is about watching for the mental and emotional weeds that obstruct our view and clarity. Rather than letting those tumbling weeds within us cause an accident, we can choose to see them for what they are. Each weed guides us toward planting a beautiful garden of thoughts. As Emerson points out, weeds have a value when we look closely. Can the weeds of your life help you find the life you want?”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 12th, 2015 by Stuart Wilde in AFFIRMATIONS

“Each day you have many successes. To you they may seem unimportant. But to the sage, everything is important. Most of us tend to underplay our triumphs, for we are taught as children not to boast – to be nice and humble and call upon the Lord for forgiveness of our wretched state. That is a bunch of spiritual hogwash. You do not have to fake being humble, and the Lord does not consider you wretched at all. Even in your most awful moments, you are beautiful, and eternity is laced through every molecule of your being.

As you begin to see your life as important, each and every act, however small, becomes important as well. So a walk in silence at dawn is a triumph of discipline, an affirmation of essence. Giving your notice at work may be another. An hour of communicating with a person who is causing you trouble is another. Once you focus on success, the things you do toward that end act like candles on your path.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Friday, October 9th, 2015 by Norman Vincent Peale in THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

“Expecting the best means that you put your whole heart (i.e., the central essence of your personality) into what you want to accomplish. People are defeated in life not because of lack of ability, but for lack of wholeheartedness. They do not wholeheartedly expect to succeed. Their heart isn’t in it, which is to say they themselves are not fully given. Results do not yield themselves to the person who refuses to give him/herself to the desired results.

A major key to success in this life, to attaining that which you deeply desire, is to be completely released and throw all there is of yourself into your job or any project in which you are engaged. In other words, whatever you are doing, give it all you’ve got. Give every bit of yourself. Hold nothing back. Life cannot deny itself to the person who gives life his/her all. But most people, unfortunately, don’t do that. In fact, very few people do, and this is a tragic cause of failure, or, if not failure, it is the reason we only half attain.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 8th, 2015 by Stuart Wilde in THE TRICK TO MONEY IS HAVING SOME

“If you think of our society you see how the older generation, coming as they do from hard times, often endorses a view that shortages are rife. All of our culture and even our sayings endorse this. A stitch in time saves nine. A penny saved is a penny earned. The meek shall inherit the earth…How many times have you heard that to make money you have to work hard? Who told you that? The people who told you were the ones who experienced life as hard. They wanted you to experience it in the same way so that you could join them and they wouldn’t get lonely.

The people who try to sell you on the struggle of life are those who, by the virtue of that struggle, know little about how to make it. Best not to use them as advisers. Of course the idea that hard work and struggle are inevitable is nonsense. Inside the energy of abundance, there is no struggle, only flow. If you are struggling there is something about your thinking or your modus that needs adjustment. Effort is a natural part of our physical state but struggle is laced with emotion, and that is unnatural and unholy. You don’t need it.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 by Neale Donald Walsch in CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD BOOK 3

“All objective phenomena is drawn to you subconsciously; all events are created by you unconsciously; every person, place, or thing in your life was drawn to you by you – was Self-created, if you will – to provide you with the exact and perfect conditions, the perfect opportunity, to experience what you next wish to experience as you go about the business of evolving.

Nothing can happen – I say to you, nothing can occur – in your life which is not a precisely perfect opportunity for you to heal something, create something, or experience something that you wish to heal, create, or experience in order to be Who You Really Are.”

PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, October 6th, 2015 by Dan Millman in LIVING ON PURPOSE

“Attachment is the classic Western way – striving for fulfillment through material success, achievement, victory. Detachment is the Eastern way – renouncing material goals, taking the inward path to peace. But even as Western seekers turn to the East and Eastern seekers look to the West, the wisest course embraces the best of both these worlds, recognizing that we can control efforts but not outcomes. Whether we seek outward success or inward illumination, we can do our best, without attachment to results. As the Arabic proverb says, “Trust in God but tie your camel” – surrender to the will of god even as you live on purpose.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Monday, October 5th, 2015 by Eric Butterworth in DISCOVER THE POWER WITHIN YOU

“One of the commonest causes of weakness in man’s pursuit of the good life is the plaguing doubt, “perhaps it’s not God’s will”.  The term “God’s will” has so long been considered in the light of a capricious and whimsical God of the skies who pulls strings to direct our lives like robots. We might be immeasurably blessed if we could eliminate the term from our vocabulary. Even a person who has gained a new vision of Truth may well be following an old concept by saying or inferring in his/her prayers, “if it be God’s will”.

There is absolutely no place in this picture for a hell of everlasting torment or for a person or force that would or could attempt to put you there. Nor is there any place for the thought that sickness or deformity or death or poverty or limitation of any kind is the will of God. The will of God is the ceaseless longing of the Spirit in you to completely fulfill in the outer the potential within you.”

“You are NOT your country, race, or religion. You are an eternal spirit, not an American or a Chinese or an African. It matters not what sort of body you showed up in, where you arrived geographically, or what religion you place after your name. There are no Buddhists or Catholics or Presbyterians in the “no-where”. Those are classifications made to distinguish us from one another in our present form.

The cries of nationalism, tribalism and theism have been the source of wars and of the slaughter of billions of human beings. You know in your heart, as do all who play out this game, that this is a violation of God’s laws that it is inconsistent with the teachings of all the spiritual masters who have ever walked among us. Yet the pattern persists. Why? Because we hang on to our personal histories as if they were our true identities. Refuse to identify yourself with tribal labels.”

PONDER on THIS for Thursday, October 1st, 2015 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“All your joy is on the frequency of love – the highest and the most powerful frequency of all. You can’t hold love in your hand. You can only feel it in your heart. It is a state of being. You can see evidence of love being expressed through people, but love is a feeling, and you are the only one that can radiate and emit that feeling of love. Your ability to generate feelings of love is unlimited, and when you love you are in complete and utter harmony with the Universe.

Love everything you can. Love everyone you can. Focus only on things you love, feel love, and you will experience that love and joy coming back to you – multiplied! The law of attraction must send you back more things to love. As you radiate love, it will appear as though the entire Universe is doing everything for you, moving every joyful thing to you, and moving every good person to you. In truth, it is.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, September 30th, 2015 by Neale Donald Walsch in THE NEW REVELATIONS

“Most of you spend much of your adult lives searching for the “right way” to worship God, to obey God, to serve God. The irony of all this is that I do not want your worship, I do not need your obedience, and it is not necessary to serve me.  These behaviors are the behaviors historically demanded of their subjects by monarchs – egomaniacal, insecure, tyrannical monarchs at that. They are not Godly demands in any sense, and it seems remarkable that the world hasn’t by now concluded that the demands are counterfeit, having nothing to do with the needs of Deity.

Deity has no needs. All That Is is exactly that: all that is. It therefore wants, or lacks, nothing – by definition. If you choose to believe in a God who somehow needs something – and has such hurt feelings if He doesn’t get it that He punishes those from whom He expected to receive it – then you choose to believe in a God much smaller than I. You truly are Children of a Lesser God.”

“To move past anger and bitterness, in your mind isolate one person such as you feel has wronged you at some point in your life, someone who has not repaid a long overdue debt. Perhaps an ex-spouse who left or abused you in some way, a parent or along-lost love who jilted you. Isolate this one person in your thoughts. Now, just for a few moments, instead of feeling hate and bitterness, try to imagine yourself sending them love. Try to grasp the idea that they came into your life to help you learn a lesson, and no matter how painful the lesson, they showed up in your life for a purpose. When you are able to send them love instead of hate, you will not only be healing yourself, you will be on your way to becoming a spiritual person.”
