PONDER on THIS for Monday, August 11th, 2008 by Wayne W. Dyer in MANIFEST YOUR DESTINY

“Think of your own desires to manifest as having been placed there by spirit, and that those desires, which are housed in love and service, are precisely what God wants to give you, and that your desire is the direct path to receiving those blessings. Let go of the idea that desire is selfishness and remind yourself that if you had no desires ever, you would still be living an infantile existence with toys in a sandbox.

Whenever you feel unworthy of having your manifestations arrive, remind yourself that no one is unworthy and that the same divine energy that flows through you flows through all of God’s children and that all are worthy: This includes you.

Your desires are the very tools that allow you to grow and experience the perfection of the universe. They take you beyond any limitations you might have embraced and lead you to a higher spiritual awareness.”

Wayne W. Dyer, in “Manifest Your Destiny”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, August 8th, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

“Suffering comes from thinking about the future, the past, or the self – or from the attachment to ideas about how these things should be. We can worry about the future and ask our God to protect us; or we can resent the past and seek comfort or compensation from God – or we can be quiet and still and listen. We spend most of our mental energy thinking up ways to change our lives or to avoid some uncomfortable experience, such as hunger, pain, loneliness, embarrassment, etc.

Most prayers are actually offerings of words to a God who – supposedly – already knows what you are going to say. Some say, “God doesn’t answer prayers because he can’t get a word in edge-wise!” Try this: “Go in your closet,” close your eyes, remove any external distractions, be quiet, be still, and listen. You’ll be amazed at what you can hear when you aren’t thinking and talking!”

“While it’s true that every cause you have set into motion will eventuate in a corresponding effect, don’t start looking over your shoulder for your past to catch up with you! Know why? Because you can always put a new cause into motion. That should be a comforting thought, considering all of the foolish things you may have done in the past. If you are dissatisfied with a part of your life, know that it is the effect of a cause that you have put into motion and that at any time you can start again. Your new cause will bring a new effect. The measure you give will be the measure you get.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, August 6th, 2008 by Eckhart Tolle in A NEW EARTH

“What is a negative emotion? An emotion that is toxic to the body and interferes with its balance and harmonious functioning. Fear, anxiety, anger, bearing a grudge, sadness, hatred or intense dislike, jealousy, envy – all disrupt the energy flow through the body, affect the heart, the immune system, digestion, production of hormones, and so on. Even mainstream medicine, although it knows very little about how the ego operates yet, is beginning to recognize the connection between negative emotional states and physical disease. An emotion that does harm to the body also infects the people you come in contact with and indirectly, through a process of chain reaction, countless others you never meet. There is a generic term for all negative emotions: unhappiness.”

“Concentrate on the abundance you do have. Make it solid and real by acknowledging it. It’s easy to overlook the many things we are granted – oxygen, the blood rushing through our veins, the food we eat; the people we know, the love we have for our friends and family, the companionship of animals and nature; the warmth of the sun; the sustenance of water, the air, and the earth. All these things are around us; they’re our “temple,” so to speak. We have to be grateful for what we have.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, August 4th, 2008 by Marianne Williamson in THE GIFT OF CHANGE

“Enlightenment is not a learning but an unlearning, a letting go of all the fears we’ve gathered as we’ve walked the path of life. As taught in A Course in Miracles, “miracles are everyone’s right, but purification is necessary first.” Purification is the process by which everything but love dissolves from our mind. As we drop the layers of fear and illusion that have hardened around our psyches, we are left with the love with which we were endowed at our creation.

Just as embryonic cells are programmed to develop into a baby, each of us is programmed to develop a more magnificent life. An invisible hand guides the embryo and guides you and me as well. But unlike the embryo, you and I can refuse it. God didn’t create us as babies and then just dump us here and say, “Okay, kid, now you’re on your own.” But how do we know that, if we’re not taught to listen to our hearts? How can we “go with the flow” if we don’t know such a flow exists? And so we keep going around saying “No” to life and then wondering why life seems to be saying “No” to us.”

Marianne Williamson, in “The Gift of Change”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, August 1st, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

“All physical, or formed, things come from the unformed, or non-physical, realm. What brings that energy here and assembles it for us is the overarching principle of the Universe in which we live. Our essence is desire, or the desire to give and receive; our essence is love, attraction, and receptivity. We derive our essence from our Creator; the essence of that which created us appears to be that of love and of giving. You need only “Ask and ye shall receive.” The great ones remind us, “You have not because you ask not.”

We are here as the result of thought; and we receive all things as the result of thought. Some people call this prayer; but regardless of what you call it, it simply is. And it is simple. The answers to our prayers are the things we see and experience – all of them. If you are physically aware of it, it is the answer to a prayer. The answers to prayers are all we know. We just don’t know that we know.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, July 31st, 2008 by Deepak Chopra in AGELESS BODY, TIMELESS MIND

“Know that the world “out there” reflects your reality “in here.” The people you react to most strongly, whether with love or hate, are projections of your inner world. What you most hate is what you most deny in yourself. What you most love is what you most wish for in yourself. Use the mirror of relationships to guide your evolution. The goal is total self-knowledge. When you achieve that, what you most want will automatically be there, and what you most dislike will disappear.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“In his book The Master Key System, Charles Haanel claims that there is an affirmation that incorporates every single thing any human being can want, and that this affirmation will bring about harmonious conditions to all things. He adds, “The reason for this is because the affirmation is in strict accordance with the Truth, and when Truth appears every form of error or discord must necessarily disappear.” The affirmation is this:

I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.”

If it sounds like work to drag what you want out of the invisible and into the visible, try this shortcut: see what you want as absolute fact. This will manifest what you want with the speed of light. The second you ask, it is fact in the Universal spiritual field, and that field is all that exists. When you conceive something in your mind, know it is a fact, and that there can be no question about its manifestation.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 by Stuart Wilde in AFFIRMATIONS

“The mind gets bogged down by its expectations. It decides when or where something is to happen and then becomes frustrated if things do not work out. Yet all of life is guesswork. The mind extrapolates from past experience and assumes that future events will conform to that pattern. But life often presents us with different circumstances. When something unexpected happens, do not punish yourself. It is impossible to guess right all the time. The animals in the forest do not worry about what will happen; they just live life. Once you accept things as they come and stop putting pressure on yourself, your life will grow calm. In that calm your power will grow.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, July 28th, 2008 by Sonia Choquette in TRUE BALANCE

“Living under the direction of Divine Power requires that we surrender all personal control and take a deliberate leap of faith, suspending our need for guarantees of any kind. This will be far easier if we are committed, honest, and faithful to what is important to our hearts and do not expect anyone else to take care of us. When we show up fully to our heart’s desire and do everything possible to bring our heads and feet into alignment with our heart, then the Universe also commits. But until we do our part, the Universe can’t help. When we direct our will fully toward what lies in our heart, the Universe will meet us halfway, leading us to victory.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, July 25th, 2008 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

“We often do things out of spite – sometimes just to spite ourselves. When we are feeling better about things, we usually come to regret those moments when we acted out of some negative feeling or patterning. What good comes from banging your head against a wall? Have you ever seen someone become so angry that they actually punched a wall? Later, while nursing a broken hand, what seemed to you, at the time, like an excellent way to vent your frustration is no longer such an appealing option.

In fact, anything you do while operating in an “I’ll show them” mode or mindset, is coming from a part of you that you definitely do not want running your life!  These angry outbursts often seem like genuinely righteous acts of vengeance; but think about that for a moment. There is no such thing as righteous vengeance. Vengeance, for any reason, is harmful to you – whether it accomplishes its intended goal of harming the other person, or not. Is that really how you want to be living your life? Does that really sound like a good plan to get ahead or to get anything that you want out of life?”

“When you experience an apparent act of betrayal, look closely to see if it may not actually be a ‘Divine invitation’ to let go of the old and discover the new. We will all have Judas experiences. But seen through the lens of higher consciousness, they turn out to be powerful turning points in our lives that can introduce us to an entirely new form of power. From that point of view, the words of Jesus – “Forgive them, for they know not what they do” – are especially meaningful.

Ponder the possibility that you may have already agreed, in your own garden of Gethsemane, to move forward, but you needed a push to get going.”

“There isn’t a plant on Earth that can survive without taking in water in through its root system. Over millions of years, every type of grounded growing thing, from lichen to cactus to the mighty oak, has nourished itself from within. Each has a unique root system that works best for the environment it inhabits. Some have surface roots that draw water near the topsoil; others send their roots as deep as possible to withstand that winds of change. Either way, both can teach us a very valuable lesson. If you don’t have anything that anchors and feeds you, your life span is going to be fairly short…The roots of true happiness have to be nurtured on an ongoing basis. If they are forgotten, other things take their place like depression, anxiety, fear, anger, worry, and illness.”

“The essence of the Emerson philosophy that influenced me was the idea that there are no limitations except the ones that we place on ourselves through the failure to know the Essential Self within and that our vision to be and do is always in line with that which we see through our state of consciousness. If we are in the valley, we will see the valley. If we are on the mountain we will see the mountain and the victory of High Cause. We have a choice, and we begin our ascension by deciding first not to be dependent on anyone or anything in the external world for our happiness. All is within – in the God of our Individual Being.”
