What remains is the light of consciousness in which perceptions, experiences, thoughts, and feelings come and go. That is Being, that is the deeper, true I. When I know myself as that, whatever happens in my life is no longer of absolute but only of relative importance. I honor it, but it loses its absolute seriousness, its heaviness.”

“To have balance and stability, you have to exercise control over every area of your life. This may not be possible as yet, but you can move toward self-realization bit by bit. This you are not going to let life tow you around. You will develop the power to say “no” to situations that are not part of your overall intention for yourself.
