PONDER on THIS for Sunday, January 18th, 2008 by Gloria Wendroff in HEAVENLETTERS

“You make too many demands. That is the same as to say that you try to take control. Any personal control you take is too much. You even control you letting go of control. You order its release, but you order it only so far. You still keep your eye on it. Your attention is more on control than it is on being. You cannot be into your beingness and control at the same time.

You order outcomes. Ordering a particular outcome denies you others. Control is holding on to your desire rather than allow it to fulfill itself. You do not have to order the dawn of the day. The sun comes without your control. You do not order the rose to bloom. It blooms from its own bloomability.

The most beautiful things are those that you do not try to control, or even imagine to control. The most beautiful events happen as if on their own. Love comes on its own. It bids itself to come. I have set everything in motion, and you must allow it to be what it is and reach where it will.”

“I often use a flashlight to demonstrate a point about focusing on your problems. I’ll shine the light on the floor, in a narrow beam, casting a small circle on the floor. I tell the client to look at the spot of light, and that the spot represents their problem. Now, keep your eyes focused on that spot of light, and tell me if you see the answer to your problem, or if you still just see the spot of light that represents the problem. In a dark room, the message is even more dramatic. There could be answers lying all over the floor, but if you don’t shift your focus away from the problem, you may never see one of them.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, January 15th, by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., in I’D CHANGE MY LIFE IF I HAD MORE TIME

“When we believe that it takes a long time to get a new career, a different house, or a better relationship, it does take a long time. But when we believe it’s possible for changes to instantly occur, then they do! The bottom line is this: Whatever you believe about time – that you have plenty, or that you don’t have enough – you are correct! There are no limits to the changes you can make in your life, and there are no time shortages except those that are self-imposed.”

PONDER on THIS for Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 by Stuart Wilde in INFINITE SELF

“You are an infinite energy inside a body; the things you have around you are not really yours. They are material manifestations of an infinite abundance. So your car, your house, your clothes, are all on rental from the God Force. None of them is yours. When you depart this earth plane, you’re going to have to leave them behind.

By placing a lot of emotion into having, you heighten not having, because you limit by definition what you do have. So, everything else in the world falls into the “I don’t have that” category.

You come to the earth plane as energy. You’ve got a body to operate in, and you’re generating money to sustain that body, but that is different from generating money for security. There isn’t enough money in the world to make the ego completely secure. That’s why millionaires pound on relentlessly, often losing what they already have in the chase for more. It’s partly a power trip and partly a security
trip.”

“As appealing as forgiveness is in theory, it is an extremely unattractive personal action for most people, mainly because the true nature of forgiveness remains misunderstood. Forgiveness is not the same as telling the person who harmed you, “It’s okay,” which is more or less the way most people view it. Rather, forgiveness is a complex act of consciousness, one that liberates the psyche and soul from the need for personal vengeance and the perception of oneself as a victim. More than releasing from blame the people who caused our wounds, forgiveness means releasing the control that the perception of victimhood has over our psyches.”

PONDER on THIS for Monday, January 12th, 2009 by Rhonda Byrne in THE SECRET

“No one can tell you whether you are feeling good or bad, because you are the only one who knows how you’re feeling at any time. If you’re not sure how you’re feeling, just ask yourself, “How am I feeling?” You can stop and ask this question often during the day, and as you do you will become more aware of how you’re feeling.

The most important thing for you to know is that it is impossible to feel bad and at the same time be having good thoughts. That would defy the law, because your thoughts cause your feelings. If you are feeling bad, it is because you are thinking thoughts that are making you feel bad.

Your thoughts determine your frequency, and your feelings tell you immediately what frequency you are on. When you are feeling bad, you are on the frequency of drawing more bad things. The law of attraction must respond by broadcasting back to you more pictures of bad things and things that will make you feel bad. As you feel bad, and don’t make any effort to change your thoughts and feel better, you are in effect saying, “Bring me more circumstances that will make me feel bad. Bring
it on!”

“When you feel angry, no matter how justified, you have chosen anger. You have abetted it. You say you want peace, yet who is it who has chosen anger? Did someone force you?

You feel that rights of yours have been infringed upon. And yet, when you feel angry, you have given up your right to peace. When you have been underestimated, and someone else’s opinion of themselves flaunted, you become a bull who sees a red cape. That is another way of saying you become unseeing. No one has more rights than you. No matter what another’s assumed position in life may be, no matter where they put you in their estimation, they do not have the say over you.

When you become angry, you must think they do. When you take affront, you have conceded something that was not yours to concede. Your worth is not negotiable. No one makes your worth more or less except as you accept their estimation of you. You, who disagree so vehemently with their appraisal, apparently agree that their appraisal means something, and so you dispute it.

When you feel lowered in someone’s estimation, it must be that you are listening more to someone else than you are listening to Me.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, January 9th, 2009 by Pete Koerner in THE BELIEF FORMULA

“Our beliefs are programmed into us from birth. Everything that we experience becomes a permanent part of us and we use these experiences to build a sort of database with which we judge subsequent experiences. We are told about God and, depending on what we were told, we either believe in Him or not. If we were told there was no God, for instance, we would believe that until we had an experience that convinced us otherwise, or until we had acquired enough knowledge to form some contrary opinion based on what we have come to know and believe. These beliefs become who we are and control everything we do and experience. They are basically the computer programs that are loaded into, and control, our autopilot system, or subconscious.

When we aren’t consciously acting on some thought, our subconscious is driving the car for us, in a manner of speaking. Our beliefs tell our subconscious mind how, and where, we want to be “driven;” and they operate our control systems according to those parameters. If you believe you will never amount to anything in this life, then even when you aren’t actively doing anything in particular, your subconscious is making arrangements to help you never amount to anything. You have to take an active role in programming your beliefs instead of simply accepting beliefs from someone else; you never know what those beliefs will lead to. Why not believe in something you truly want?”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, January 8th, by Dan Millman, in LIVING ON PURPOSE

“Each of us is given one gift – a special strength or talent – and it is our task to discover and cultivate it. Take stock of your potential strengths. If you are not sure, ask friends or loved ones; they often see what remains hidden to us. We share common human weaknesses, but it is our unique talents that make us special.

The late “Peanuts” cartoonist Charles Schultz claimed that he wasn’t much good at anything as a youth – but he liked to draw cartoons. This doesn’t mean it was easy – his first cartoons were rejected before he found success. So remember that everything is difficult until it becomes easy. And follow your interests, because interests can ignite into passions, and passions become strengths. Charles Schultz played to his strength, on which he built an empire and a life.”

“Take all the fear that you project about not having money, or if you are rich, losing what you have, and focus that same energy to attract and regenerate what you need. For example, what is the litany that you recite? I can’t pay this; I don’t have enough for that; when I do get some money, I worry that it will run out and that it will never come again.

When you reverse the flow of your fearful thoughts about money, instead of seeing money leave you to never return, you see that cash come to you and remain with you. When you redirect the flow, you are applying the same fear energy that you are so used to in a different direction.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 by Richard & Mary-Alice Jafolla, in THE QUEST

“The power of the subconscious mind is a phenomenon which cannot be overemphasized. Every deep-seated conviction, expectation, and emotion is going to eventually translate itself into the tangible world. At this point in our human understanding, we may not yet be fully cognizant of how this process works, but we do know that it does work. For example, it has been documented that strong thoughts and emotions metamorphose directly into hormones and chemicals in the body. These chemicals directly influence our health. Thoughts and emotions determine not only our physical health, they establish our total life experience. We can use our thoughts to make changes in our lives.

This is transformative knowledge, because it means if you take on new beliefs and new ideas and new feelings about things, they cannot help but be reflected in your life. You have been given a free will. You have been bestowed with the God-given ability to affect your own life experience. Your thoughts are the generators of such changes. And THAT has to be absolutely sensational news!”

“This is what I have learned about the people around us: Whenever somebody triggers something in you, pushes a button, causes an unpleasant sensation for you, do not look at that person. Look at yourself. Ask yourself, “What is it in me that is making me react this way?”

Your reaction is alwaysabout something in you. Think about it — when you are feeling good about yourself, confident, centered, other people cannot affect you. You can tolerate them because you look at them with love and as fellow humans. If they push your buttons, there is something in you that is off-kilter, unexamined, or unresolved.”

PONDER on THIS for Sunday, January 4th, 2008 by Gloria Wendroff in HEAVENLETTERS

“You do not know the worth of a spot of dust on a table. You do not know what purpose it may serve in the universe. Your major fault, if fault there be, is to fault others.

So what if they are not like you? Should the world be hosted with your perfection alone? Something would be missing if all in the world had your personality. More than fault would be missing. You might wonder why there was sameness everywhere with nothing to break it up.

So right now be overjoyed for the variety of imperfection that the world is made of. Be glad for the opposites of you. Be glad for all those who are less perfect than you, for they occupy a different place in the world. Perhaps their place is to point out to you that you need to resolve something within yourself. Perhaps they are a clue inserted just for you.”

PONDER on THIS for Friday, January 2nd, 2009 by Eckhart Tolle in A NEW EARTH

“So the most important thing to realize is this: Your life has an inner purpose and an outer purpose. Inner purpose concerns Being and is primary. Outer purpose concerns doing and is secondary…Your inner purpose is to awaken. It is as simple as that.

You share that purpose with every other person on the planet – because it is the purpose of humanity. Your inner purpose is an essential part of the purpose of the whole universe and its emerging intelligence. Your outer purpose can change over time. It varies greatly from person to person. Finding and living in alignment with the inner purpose is the foundation for fulfilling your outer purpose. It is the basis for true success. Without that alignment, you can still achieve certain things through effort, struggle, determination, and sheer hard work or cunning. But there is no joy in such endeavor, and it invariably ends in some form of suffering.”

BEST of PONDER on THIS for Thursday, January 1st, 2009 by Stuart Wilde in THE QUICKENING

“All your needs will be met. However, difficulty arises in the timing. If one looks at nature one can see that it is abundant, but we also learn that it only delivers from time to time. You plant in the Spring and nothing happens until August. The same often occurs with personal finances. You put out a lot of energy and you have to wait for it to pay a dividend. We expect the abundance of the universe to pay out in little chunks at regular intervals, to fit the patterns we have obligated ourselves to. Often it doesn’t.

Your best move is never to obligate yourself when you don’t have to and to try to win as much freedom within your obligations as possible. Otherwise the negative emotion that occurs from that obligation is not worth whatever it is that you got.”
